Off topic, if you were an actor…. you'd be the perfect Clark Kent
Idk how my stuff always burns dry or dampens off lol
Hello Luke,
Awesome video in making your own seed starting mix!💖
Thanks for sharing!👍
Blessings and Happy New Year!🎊

Is that bag of Happy Frog you held up the 4 pound bag?
Another great lesson thanks
I really appreciate the video. It would have been helpful to have portions summed up in one place at the end.
Thank you so much! I am so happy that I found your channel. I am originally from Allegan ❤
So no soil thats such a good idea. I always use pro mix from art knapps and i get so many fungus knats 😅 maybe its time to start this ❤
Thanks for sharing!!!
I really appreciate all the education you give us! Thank you!
Great video! Thank you!
I also use pro mix it is my favorite I’ve had great results
Ok, this may just be the year I try this. My question is do the ingredients expire? Can I make this mix every year without worrying about the quality of the ingredients degrading? Do they need any special storage requirements?
Will this mix work with soil blocking?? Trying this method for the first time this year.
I like a simple blend: seed starting mix + potting soil + Trifecta. Organic when possible.
I have found it effective to mix up seed starting mix with weak chamomile tea, which has been used for centuries against damping off. I do not believe this an old wives tale.
I cannot help but notice your perlite is finer than mine. Does that matter? Vermiculite too.
The quality of pro mix in Canada has changed. I regret using it last year my seedlings did not do well.
I have sun light for 300 days of the year.
I wish you would put the amounts used. You made a video of this last year and same thing, no amounts given. I appreciate your heart to teach and give use cost effective ways to do things but it would be most beneficial to be able to do exactly what you did so we can see the same results.
Used coco husk,,,had the worst knat infestation
12 plants here
Im ready!!! I bought some of your Poppy seeds im nervous to ge them to grow I've never gotten poppies to bloom
Seed starting mix around here is pretty cheap. You can buy it for $5-6. And its the same stuff as the expensive companies for $12-15. I can buy cococoir for about $5. Both around 8 quarts. And coconut coir compressed.
So for me it's ends up being about the same cost wise of getting high quality seed start mix. Vs making my own. Its pennies different. Not dollars. Some years self made is probably a few pennies better.
LUKE!! I was super happy to hear you say PROMIX. About a month ago my local
Big box store had the rest of their promix marked down to $7. So I bought 15 of them. I love the stuff. My soil is somewhat compacted so plan to mix some of the promix in a couple of my beds and now I know it’s good for seed starting ! Thank you for another good video because one day I’ll be making my own also.
