You lucky girl, foxgloves and tulips! They don't grow well where I live in Adairsville, Georgia.
Thanks for the tour! Deer leave the Gatsby Gal's alone where I live in Michigan! Also, if you have not tried them yet, you may enjoy the Let's Dance Sky View big leaf hydrangea (H. macrophylla) in the front. They are pink, blue and purple in our slightly acidic soil, but will easily go blue with a little Aluminum Sulfate! Also, Let's Dance Blue Jangles is a good blue one! 💙
Your climate is so much different than mine, but it reminds me of when I lived in England. I love your cottage garden and appreciate you enjoying your landscape. Thank you for sharing.
I can't wait!
I planted foxglove in the early September a couple years ago and I know have foxglove galore! It’s fabulous,
I love your garden. You and Monalogue are my favorite channels, because your style of gardening are exactly what I like. Your garden especially I just absolutely love. It's the most similar to my own woodland garden, so I enjoy watching your videos a lot. I get so much inspiration from you and I learn so so much. I am very thankful. On top of that I just enjoy you and your husband in general. You are such a sweet couple and it's a joy to watch you. You seem so kind and sweet and get just as excited about the most (seemingly) small and unimportant things and creatures, flowers, colors and patterns as I do. You seem to enjoy and see beauty where most people don't and it's nice to see there are people like me out there. Thank you so much and I am very excited to keep watching your videos. The crocus are starting to pop out where I live (northern central europe, in a zone 7b/8a) and I can't wait to see them flower soon. Again, thank you so much for your videos, they also help me mentally, through dark days. I wish you and your husband a lovely day/night. 💕💕
Love seeing Georgie out in the garden.
Love the dining garden! Cant wait to see it in spring & summer!
Your garden is lovely. Are you zone 5? Thank you
Oooh a sunken garden will be so nice & different! Im xcited to see that come along!❤
Wow the squirrels really loved their edible ornaments! Yay! Thats so great!❤
Hi Anna! I love your ideas for your sunken garden- sounds beautiful! I would love to hear about how you pick and design your garden areas. I just recently added flowers to my garden- it was mostly flowering shrubs, junipers, pines, blue spruces( my favorite)and Japanese maples. I LOVE the ivory halo red twigs- they are a glorious backdrop year round( and money saver). I have been slowly adding what I can to make it a more woodland/ wildlife vibe. I just received this year some anemone from a local gardener and hope they come up(they were glorious in her yard). Can’t wait to see your yard! Oh, and I just switched from being a coffee drinker for many years to a tea drinker,- so any tea recipes would be appreciated! Thank you!
I love your videos 🥰 could you do one about apartment gardening? Any tips and ideas flower boxes, how to start in a small space etc thank you!
This looks so amazing.
Having just watched you I am loving your home and garden and vibe. Your creations so far are so beautiful. I have subscribed and don't want to miss one video, so thanks for inviting us into your world and your garden journey 🤩 happy new year
Yes, please do a video, sooner rather than later, about designing a Cottage Garden. I'm working on my new beds now and have no clue how many of each plant I need to grow from seed or how to lay them out.
Try growing Beit Alpha cucumbers! They are more resistant to the beetles. I've never successfully been able to grow cucumbers until last year. I planted the Beit Alphas along with yellow squash and zucchini and it worked SO well!!
Happy New year sweet Anna cxxx 💚 💐 🌹
I'd love to hear you talk about garden design.👍
Very exciting!! Depending on how many sun hours you'll get in the sunken garden, you could try elderberry and american holly (evergreen) in the background for privacy, and peonies, Salvias yangii and nemorosa with the daffs nearer to the seating area. I have zillions of ravenous deer and those are the only things they won't eat. Pebbledash stucco might look beautiful on your house's rear foundation and is easy-ish DIY. You can decide what colour, size, spacing and pattern you want the pebbles; maybe you buy in some little pebbles to add to the smaller stones you guys have so patiently excavated from the gardens. This would match well but be easier and lighter than the lovely cobble path you laid. Pebbledash is quite thin, so your main story shakes would still drain off well. Before you coat the block foundation with pebbledash, drill and set some long eye hooks in the wall that you can run thin cables through for vines to climb on, that would help break up the huge 2 story wall and would last forever! You could try virgin's bower (native clematis) with your climbing hydrangeas and grown them up criss-crossed cables.
Loved this video! Do you sketch out your ideas? Could you share how you keep track of all your ideas?
