Together we transplant seedlings (cucumber, spinach and brussel sprouts), we plant some pansy seeds to grow indoors under my grow lights, and we wintersow some poppy seeds.

I’ll be making videos often on what seeds I’m sowing, plant updates, how to care for seedlings, etc.

  1. Hi Vita! I grew brussel sprouts this past year for the first time. I grew them from seed and I had a decent harvest. They were on the small side but very tender and delicious. I did keep them under insect netting in my raised bed. I have a hinged row cover where I grew most of my brassicas. I do have a video about it if you want to check it out:). They got pretty tall about 36 to 40" so keep that in mind when you try to cover them. Talk soon

  2. Started Brussels sprouts in the house. Than outside they growing and some type of insects destroyed them . I think flea beetles

  3. I pulled my dichondra siver falls out of my hanging baskets before the first frost, cut them back to about 4" long, and repotted them in 4" pots to use this year. They are on my grow shelf in my spare bedroom. It was so hard to find last year at the garden centers. When i finally found some last August, they were dumping the hanging baskets into the bed of a pick up truck to throw away, and they actually grabbed some clumps of it and gave it to me for free.

  4. Thank you Vita, I enjoyed watching you sow and transplant your seedlings. I live in western Colorado so there will be times I have to water my 18 jugs in the backyard. We do get freezing temperatures at night so all is well

  5. I have great luck winter sowing poppies and planting them out using the hunk method where you do the clump of plants together.

  6. How did your winter sown poppies come out? Did you also try growing them indoors under lights? I'm still trying to figure out another way to grow them, besides scattering them outside.
