In this gardening vlog, learn how to plant spring bulbs in pots. If you live in a colder climate where you get freezing temperatures, it’s very important to not allow your potted spring bulbs to freeze, get too wet, and rot. I like to store my bulbs overwinter in my unheated garage where the temperature is ideal. Daffodils, tulips and other spring bulbs can look great in any pot, container, etc.
I also give tour of all the bulbs that I’ll be planting in pots this winter for a beautiful Spring display.

Never tried this before. If I have some left over bulbs I will try it this year. I don't have a heated garage though.
Oh my goodness I just went to Home Depot today and I too got spring bulbs for 50% off. I couldnāt believe it. I ended up buying so many and Iām so excited because I also plant mine in pots in my backyard garden. Iām so happy to see that you posted this video. Itās not too late if we plant them in pots. Great information! I was thinking everyone was going to laugh at me for planting my spring bulbs so late. šššLiz
Very good info especially about placing a bulb on its side if you can't tell which end is up. I planted half high gladiolus I got from Brecks last year in quite large pots for the first time. They were marvelous. I also planted a crocosmia mix in an earth box with mixed results. I've only ever planted spring bulbs in the ground before
I just did a google search on the tete-tete daffodils and they are SO CUTE! I canāt believe how many bulbs you have. I would be like a little kid in a candy shop. I canāt wait to see them all blooming in pots. Itās gonna be so beautiful comes spring. You got your work cut outfoI canāt believe how many bulbs you have. You have a ton of bulbs to plant.
Hi, I'm in Massachusetts and my bulbs are in my garage too. It's unheated but temps range 50 to 55 still. Thinking that's too warm?? š¤
What a nice way to remember Grandma! I have purple bearded iris that has been passed down many generation's. They traveled across the country twice and will do it again soon. They are the hardest plants I have ever had!
Your display in the spring must be gorgeous! I'm definitely going to try this with tulips because they get eaten by voles in my yard. Thank you for sharing your processā¤
