Pup is under little under a year old, should the mom look so decrepit already or is it an indication of underwatering or under fertilizing? it has lost like 5 or so tendrils
i usually separate my pups when theyre 1/3 the moms size as thats when they are first able to be on their own. if you decide to leave them, which is also okay as thats natural, the pup will slowly kill the mom over time and she will die. air plants dont really require fertilization for survival, only to help them bloom. id say the mom is dying because…well…she is and was going to after having her pup and it still being attached.
