It’s been having issues for a good few months now, like 4,5 and we can’t figure out the issue. He only waters when the soil is dry through to 2”, we keep it away from the heater with plenty of light, and one of the braided barks was rotting so we repotted and removed it.

New ones keep growing while the older ones keep falling off and idk what to do?

Pot has a drainage hole at the bottom and he typically waters once every 3 ish weeks or when it’s pretty dry using a half gallon watering spout

If the leaves are dropping suddenly then the roots are staying moist for too long. You can certainly wait to water until the foliage looks a little bit droopy, or feels soft. So either decrease watering frequency, and/or increase light if you can.

Mine did this then got squishy and died. You need to neglect if for longer. Too much water

I’ve had mine for like 6 years now and it’s done this at least 4/5 winters. I’ve tried watering more, watering less and nothing really seemed to help. It just bounced back middle of spring without me changing anything really. Mines been through hell and it is pretty healthy. My advice is just keep it alive.. like what everyone here is saying just let it dry out more or water it if it’s under watered. I guess I don’t really have much advice lol, just want to let you know it’ll probably be fine as long as something major happens like freezing or pests, may just be a bit of an eyesore for a while 🙂

One draining hole is not enough to drain all the water, hold water and let recover.
