I wish there were trees we could keep up all year, like a spring tree, summer tree, fall tree…I love the lights..maybe something like that in hartley?
Anyone know if Cheddar is still around? I haven't seen him and may have missed info in a recap if there's a mention about him.
This is very timely I have several plants that need to be repotted and I'm new at this houseplant thing – Laura inspired me to try!
Use the stand you had in Hartley around large greenhouse pond. Perfect for plants behind chairs.
Thinking that I’m not the only one that was so hoping you’d have a bouquet of mums to take in at the end of the cleanup! What a gift to enjoy this pop of color in early January! 💐
I'm wondering why the high tunnels have shade cloth on in the winter?
What happened to cheddar?
Beautiful house! I was wondering, on the Asparagus fern roots. After you untangled them could you just cut off the dangling roots, or would that shock the plant too much?
Buenos días te quedó vonito 18:31 ❤
I really wish you could or would put that Staghorn Fern in a sheet moss lined hanging basket. It would multiply well and would circle the pot eventually. In summer, it could live hanging under one of the trees. They really make conversation pieces. Think about it!!
I use moss sheets to place on top of the soil to help make it more attractive and hold moisture. I anchor the moss with hair pins (NOT Bobby pins) from the beauty supply.
I need more mums in my life. I have one and it's so pretty when it blooms.
I love the glass vintage ornaments.❤
❤ Douglas jump-pets.😂
I knew you were determined to get that ornament—and you did.😂
Natal 😢 ❤
I know Laura has said where she got those dining room chairs in her home, but I forget where she said it was.
Laura – how many mum bouquets did you arrange this year?
Always enjoy your channel! Thought of you today. We got 10” of ice and snow in our Kansas City suburb yesterday. Went out to start clearing everything off today and found my little angel wrapped in a snow stole. 😇 She was beautiful! My hydrangeas were gorgeous, too! Thank you for inspiring us to look for the beauty in winter.
I love my staghorns I have 3 or 4 of them all in pots I killer the mounted one I didn't water as much as I should have during the summer
❤❤❤❤❤
Guys, why is Laura speaking Spanish 😂is this a YouTube wide thing or just GA?
Hey Laura that fearn u have to plant it in a big pot…I got lots off them … they grow big
9:24 philodendron don’t like to sit in moist soil for too long they like to be watered but the water to drain right through . With that large of pot I would suggest mixing 1 part perlight and some lava rocks into the soil so it dries faster . Especially that type of philodendron (slow growing) ring of fires are susceptible to root rot
Asparagus fern is highly invasive in Australia. It is a constant pain to keep removing the runners. My neighbours put one in the ground years ago which affects every house in the street and beyond. Bind weed has nothing on asparagus fern. We have lost whole hedges to it. I am guessing it is not a problem where you live Laura. My heart sunk when I saw those roots.
I have to say I have had my mom's asparagus fern for 40+ years. And it was ages old when I brought it to my house. It lives on my neglect. I've repotted it and feed it when I remember. By no means is neglect anything to brag about but the tenacity of this fern is no joke! It is about 3ft tall and 2ft in diameter. So think ahead if you don't have a large space for it. Time to go water the geraniums I pulled into my basement this past September. 🙃
Great job Laura!!!!!
Wonderful houseplants, I love all of them and they make an area look so lush. The mums were happy to have the break from the weight of the canopy of leaves I bet, and they look so much better. I know you are happy to be getting the trees down inside. What a wonderful video to start the week. Thank you. Have a blessed day everyone.
Just to note: for those who may not know!
You can control the size of specifically potted house plants if you prune the roots, no more than a 1/3. That way you can keep them in a more manageable size pot, and they’ll love it.
