Today’s Highlights:
An elderly couple is continuously being abused by their son, 31-year-old Vikash Dindial, a maritime insurance agent at their home in Mahadeo Street, Felicity.
• The couple Kaloutie and Sonnylal Dindial visited the studio in tears on Wednesday 11th December, 2024, as they can no longer bare the torment they face in their own home.
• The victims claimed that their son breached a protection order they put in place to avoid the abuse.
One of the suspects involved in the extortion of a Cunupia businessman on Sunday 23rd November 2024, has been arrested by police.
• The accused was reportedly arrested by police at his home on Wednesday 11th December, 2024.
• On November 23rd, the three suspects went to ‘column boss’ Cunupia’s home and demanded that he pay $250,000 within three days or he and his family would be harmed.
• The victim made a report to the police and following thorough investigations, one of the suspects has been nabbed.
Two friends died in a fatal crash in Mc Bean, Couva early on Thursday 12th December, 2024.
• The two victims have been identified as Andy Gibbs and Brendon Francios.
• Just after 3:00am, residents of the Southern Main Road, near Ladoo Trace, in Mc Bean Village heard a loud crash.
• Upon investigation, they observed a vehicle occupied by two men crashed into a wall off the roadway.
• The police and emergency health services were notified, however, by the time they arrived at the scene, Gibbs and Francois had already succumbed to their injuries.
• Due to the extent of the damage, the fire services had to use the jaws of life to remove the bodies from the vehicle.
