  1. Can these be sharpened? What is the expected life of the blade? String is cheap if the blade only lasts for 3 or 4 uses.

  2. Looks concerning to trim around chain link fencing or any type of wire close to the ground like a cable line, etc. I will stick to line.

  3. Quick tip when you shoot video – its best always focus your camera first and leave auto focus off.

  4. Haven’t seen anything from you in a while. I hope you’re doing alright. I miss your content especially because I’m a STL brother. So when you’re dealing with it, I probably am too.
I especially want to know how your hybrid fescue is doing. I’m really considering doing what you did, to in my front yard. So I would love to know if you are happy with it.

    But mostly hoping you’re okay

  5. Can't see spending 400$ on attachment, i mean weed trimmer are usually about the same price, and think about how much they want for the power head whether it is gas or electric.

  6. Milwaukee is getting way too expensive for their tools. This blocks a lot of customers from wanting to buy into their battery platform

  7. Haven't quite pulled the trigger on a quik-lok yet but am leaning heavily that way. But the cost of these rotaries will likely keep me string trimming for the foreseeable future. And edging with it seems murderous on the blades!

  8. $400?! The Milwaukee hedge trimmer is literally half that and it’s an entire tool not just a stick with a blade on the end. Holy crap I’m half ready to abandon Milwaukee that is so outrageous.

  9. There's no safety piece that prevents you from getting too close to a pole or a tree and seeing you trim that around the sidewalk I can't walk that straight and quite frankly I don't think it's safe to use except for maybe cutting some heavier grass but trying to edge with it no way thanks

  10. I could never get one, my wife likes to sneak the weed whacker, I'd come home to her trying to cut trees with it. Secondly I'd never buy anything battery powered

  11. 400 dollars is insane for a product so late to the game. The Idech power rotary scissors are $160 all day everyday on eBay with adapters for every trimmer that doesn’t have a head based motor. I bought a refurbished Husqvarna 128 and some rotary scissors for a total of less than 280 dollars complete out the door.

AND you can grease them. To say you don’t have to grease rotary scissors is a lie. That Milwaukee runs on hopes and dreams 😂

  12. I like that tool, and i have the quick lock system edger, string trimmer and chain saw. They also made a broom and a few other things.
One thing this tool needs is a hight adjustment and wheel for edging.
You should edge with the edger once or twice a year and use the clippers to cut that way you have a gap between the pavement and lawn that way you do not damage the blades. Plus the gap looks nice

  13. Someone needs to make a set of lawn mower blades like this to fit lawn mowers and tractors a cut blade of grass grows more healthy then a blade that wipes around to cut the grass more like a reel mower cuts.

You know when i was a kid back in the 60s we used something like sheep shears to trim the edges down on our knees. Thats why weed Wackers took over.
A weed wacker back then was a metal blade on a pole you wiped back and forth.
Ive got both tools but at age 64 im not about to get on my hands and knees or sling a pole back and forth.

  14. Would you use this against a concrete foundation – and or a plastic fence?

I've got .75 acre of fence line – and the foundation of the house to weed eat.

I blow through the Milwaukee string like crazy.

  15. EVERYTHING MILWAUKEE IVE BOUGHT IS CHEAP PLASTIC GARBAGE. SWITCHED TO MAKITA … NIGHT N DAY DIFF

  16. I have something similar from Kawasaki from 20 years ago. Still going strong and very useful around rock gardens and trimming around stepping stones. Worth the money.

  17. I kind of use my milwaukee brush cutter attachment in a similar way. Throws a spark when I hit rocks though 😄

  18. I realy dont care how expensive milwaukee tools are then are super good quaity and if you do jobs with it u make your money back.

  19. So…first off that's pretty nice to have in certain situations…edging and weedeating isn't one…second..you wouldn't have all that eye sore all over your fence if you would weedeat the correct direction…third…you can buy a good higher end string trimmer for the $.

  20. That's good for anything but edges. Seriously, you're going to scratch, and ruin the blades. Simple common sense.

  21. Those are newer to Milwaukee. However, Red Max made these 20 years ago. We used them for crisp edges on sand traps on the golf course. They can be game changers in specific applications. Ofcourse they weren't battery powered.
