I’m a Hispanic guy who was just taught the whole beans and greens thing. Our sweet neighbor invited my boyfriend and I to have some black eyed peas and cabbage and it was great. She’s from Louisiana.
Thank you Chris for your iNaturalist account suggestion, I sometimes do wildlife photos as a hobby (mainly insects and plants) and maybe it would be useful for me. I will look into it. Happy New Year, you two!
Wow Chris, the larva are alive and well meaning "no poison" on that fruit. We find larva in sweet corn and apples up here and just remove them and the rest of the product is edible. Another GREAT video.
Thanks for sharing your garden with us! Doing a container veggie garden here in Sarasota. Growing lettuces, baby spinach, golden beets, peas and tomatoes. Oooo, and I love your painted bunting cap too!
Love your garden and you sharing your knowledge on it all. Someday I’d love to have my own garden and grow some of my own food 🙏 Also, I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you are allowing for moments to just rest and be 💕
That was a great video!! Somewhat envious of your garden. The growing season in Quebec City is much shorter than in Florida as you can imagine. Perhaps you can share some of your recipes sometime… Happy New Year to both of you!
Major congrats on your hurricane ravaged garden! You have a green thumb. I'd never seen a partridge pea bush before. Grew up on crowder peas and black eyed peas in the south. ML
Prune the tips of your main branches on your Partridge pea. It will produce a bushy plant with a lot more peas. Happy gardening. We're at 4 degrees here. I miss my garden. Price you pay when you live up north.
I love gardening and Chris your video was educational, informative and fun! You are a bright light and a video star. Keep the tape rolling! Love you guys!❤❤ And HAPPY NEW YEAR in sunny Florida!!❤❤

What's the easiest thing to waste, but impossible to replace?

Those pink eyed peas won’t bring you good luck for the new year. You have to have black-eyed peas and corn bread 😅❤
