I’m looking to replace these boxwoods with a native variety that might accomplish the visual impact these were probably intended to provide. This side of the house faces west and is under large trees, so it gets very little sun at the end of the day. The boxwoods never really did well, I have trimmed dead branches regularly and there is rarely new growth. What would y’all suggest to put here in their place and when should I be planting them?
