Richard got home from the office and I put him straight to work helping me mulch the back corner. 😅 I knew this would be the biggest open area we’re tackling, so I was ready for it to take a while. But I’ve got a hot date with the Golden Bachelorette on Wednesday nights, so this was all we could get done today! 🌹

Ngl random vid on my feed but whats the purpose of the muldge
Well done
No weed barrier?
Looks good. The fresher the mulch the better it is at absorbing nitrogen and starving out the grass. The mulch looks pretty fresh. You can also find a tree trimmer truck roaming around your neighborhood and they will give you mulch for free. Nice fresh mulch that spends a year degrading which is what you want when covering grass! Good job guys!
Looks so nice but I would have put a layer of cardboard on first… hopefully you don’t have grass growing though 🤞
Dang. That changed the looks of everything.
So glad this popped up on my YT feed. I'm planning on doing something similar using the same raised plastic edging on an ever-so slightly sloped area beside my fence. Doing a 1.2 meter x 7 meter long rectangle area. Going to do the cardboard smother method, fill with mulch and place flat stone circles on it then place an array of Japanese maples in pots on them kinda like a display area. I live in Ireland I we have clay soil so buried items might struggle. We get plenty of rain and some chilling winds but sure when there's a will there's a way 😅
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out!
