I got this guy at Lowe’s a couple months ago and it has grown some new leaves and stems. I noticed that some of the leaves started browning at the tips so I took it out and inspected the roots and found my soil was staying pretty wet.
I changed out the soil to a perlite, cactus and orchid mix and layered some rock at the bottom. The roots looked ok to me after watching videos etc.
Is there anything I need to do differently? I was watering once every 2 weeks. I got a moisture meter and will wait until dry to re water. I also have a humidifier going as of this week for it.

Sounds like you had edema. Sounds like you’re on the right path. Wait till it’s completely dried out. Then water it good and make sure it drains. Make sure it has good sunlight. That’s it.
FYI if your pot has drainage holes, rocks only take up space and don’t actually help with drainage. Also, if you don’t have drainage holes, rocks are equally bad.
Tldr rocks are unnecessary, next repot be sure to skip that step!
