For “Avenues All Lined With Trees”, David Horvitz presents conceptual, poetic, mailed, photographic and video works all emanating from or evoking 7th Avenue Garden, his own garden near his studio in Los Angeles. One new work entitled “Fleur de Corbeau” [Crow’s Flower] (2024) is a process starting with donations of live plumeria cuttings (or “frangipanier” in French) to fourteen public museums in France.
“Avenues All Lined With Trees” is the inaugural exhibition of “Avant-Gardens”, a season at the gallery of exhibitions arising from artists’ gardens.
