Late again. Starting to watch now.
I love that you are filling the bird feeder.
I forgot to tell you in chat-Congratulations on the new granddaughter!!
At time stamp 9:55 ‘ish Reedy and I said we wished you lived nearby so we could go help. You are amazing! Great video and great job!
Thanks, Kaye! Filled the bird feeder, got an extra heated water bowl for chickens, bought 12 bales of straw to winterize coops and bee hive. We are having an icestorm so expect no power. Have eco flow and gas generator. Wood cook stove and insulated around the house.
Stay warm and safe! ❤️
Kaye…cut parsley now..with long stems..put in glass with water..use over next week or so..lu in idaho
Great episode! The woodstove looks fantastically, cozy!
Many good suggestions. Here in southern part of East Texas piney woods it's only going to get to 28 next week. I'm thankful to not have to deal with the crazy cold temperatures. I do need to make sure that I have plenty of propane on hand though. God bless. Stay warm! 💗❄️❄️🕯️
Congratulations on your new grandbaby! Grandchildren are the best. I have a grandson that's almost 19. Stay warm and toasty ❤
Congratulations on your new baby grandchild!!
I would love to have one of the power batteries
Congratulations on new grand baby and glad you are reminding everyone to prepare for extreme weather ahead of time. Last time we had that terrible polar vortex nightmare a elderly woman went out in the middle of it to check something I guess and it turned into a tragic accident. Very sad but just a good reminder to make sure that doesn’t ever happen again! I have senior lady friends that I say call someone and put phone in pocket if you go outside alone they will hear if you fall or are injured.
Have you ever have jars to bust in the freezer ?
Thank you Kaye for all the good reminders!
have a freeze proof outside faucet. But i still put that cover over it, Lowes and home depot have them
Thank you for your suggestions. Praying for you through these next few days.
Happy for you to a Gran x2! Here's to hoping we all get through this with the power ON.
Keep the cabinet doors open under the sink
I use one of those mini oil filled heaters ( Like a mini Delonghi radiator Heater ) in my well pump house. It's about 12 inches high and 12 inches in length. and 3 inches wide. Has a thermostat on it. Works perfect to keep my pressure tank hut above 40 degrees and with the thermostat .. cuts on and off automatically.
Great tips. The only other thing I’ve heard to he’ll keep pipes warm is to open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air from the house keep pipes a bit warmer.
