Japanese beetles can become quite annoying because they eat a lot of foliage on certain plants in my garden and they don’t seem to have any natural predators. Their larval stage feed on the roots of lawn grass. So they are quite difficult to get rid of, unless you and your neighbors collectively decide to get rid of most of your lawn grass.

  1. I know a person who buys some bags off of Amazon or something specifically for Japanese Beetles. They hang it on a branch of a tree in her yard, and it fills up in only a few days. She empties them into a bucket filled with water (and maybe also some soap) and re-hangs the bag. It seems to attract them quite well, and her trees don’t get eaten.
