Looks like fairy rings. If so, it’s not really harmful. Just means you have some good, rich soil.

Fairy rings. Harmless – something, usually wood, decaying in the soil. They will get bigger over time until they disappear.

Type 2 fairy rings!
You’ll occasionally find mushrooms on the edges. Its a a network of beneficial fungi in the soil that’s decomposing organic matter in the soil, as it decomposes that organic matter it releases nutrients that make the grass grow greener.
It originally had started in the middle of the ring and each subsequent generation stretches further out from the center. Usually you’d expect to see it before it gets this big, but not always.
The best treatment for it is aeration (spike or core, whichever you can do more often) and regular fertilization.
Rarely on home lawns do fairy rings advance to type 1, which is when they produce chemicals that make the soil hydrophobic (water repellent) which causes grass to become stressed or die because it can’t get water. In that situation, I’d recommend Aeration and wetting agents. Even then I wouldn’t recommend fungicides for 2 reasons:
– they’re definitely eating something, possible dead tree roots or an old stump.
– they’re extremely, extremely difficult to kill with fungicides.
where old tree roots are dying out and producing fungi. shrooms will pop up along the circle outline next rain or two.

Probably former tree/trees where the roots are starting to rot. Nothing to worry about as long as you keep up with your fert schedule. maybe do a quick soil sample test in the light middle spots and focus on keeping watered and stimulating growth.

Fairies. those are their circles
Potential-Captain648
They are fairy rings. They are caused by a piece of rotting wood in that location. Possibly a tree branch or a chunk of lumber. If the rings make a complete circle, it will kill the grass inside of it. To kill the fairy ring mushrooms, sprinkle a good amount of nitrogen fertilizer throughout the affected area. Then give it a good raking to loosen the soil and to work the fertilizer in. Then sprinkle lawn seed on the affected area and rake it in. Water regularly.
