We’re visiting the bright and airy Houston home of Nicole Shah, co-founder of the Garden Girls. Nicole’s home is filled with stunning art, antiques, and charm, but the real highlight is her lush garden with four raised beds.

Growing up in West Virginia, Nicole spent summers picking vegetables from her family’s gardens and always dreamed of recreating those moments. After moving to Houston over 20 years ago, she learned to embrace the city’s unique growing seasons and now thrives with a garden that nourishes both body and soul.

From fresh herbs that elevate every dish to homegrown cucumbers that taste like summer, Nicole’s garden is a source of joy she loves sharing with others. Enjoy and stay tuned for more Garden Girls’ home tours!

  1. BEAUTIFUL HOME!!!! I LOOOOVE HOW HOME WORTHY IS PREPARING US FOR THE NEW YEAR🎉💕🪴🌿🪴🌷🌱🪻🌱⚘️🪴

  2. I have had problems with paper whites getting too tall and leggy.
I was told to add 1 tbsp of isopropol alcohol to the water.(rubbing alcohol )

  3. I loved the healthy maiden hair fern on your beaten low chest of drawers.
The art makes me think of that King who wore no clothes!

  4. Your children and husband must benefit so much from your herbs.
However, do your children suffer from a lack of books and literature?
Rather than herbs, why not feed them with literature?
Greetings from BC CANADA where nature rules

  5. In the ping pong room ?
Why not a lovely coastal painting ?
    That room is clautrophobic!
    I do love nasturtiums!
Don't you think your home is terribly confinning for children ?

  6. Thank you for sharing your very welcoming home. The garden and the kitche are amazing. The ping pong room — a great indoor spot when the Texas Sun drives folks indoors.
I think my personal favorite is your gorgeous powder room. It’s stunning.

  7. I love this home! It has been done beautifully! As a passionate gardner this tour was extra special sharing a bond with the host on our love of plants and gardens.🌼

  8. It’s a very calming home and I’ve hit this point at age 55 that I was thinking, I need to be in a garden 🪴- it is just so healing and there’s a real purpose to it. Beautiful home, wonderful garden/business and lovely lady💚

  9. How wonderful that she honors her home state of WV. I’m an experienced Ohio gardener and I was inspired by her raised beds and the variety of plants she grows in what could be a terribly challenging weather locale. Her delight at snipping flowers and herbs to use in small vases is contagious. Her gardens are realistic for the real woman today. Great video. I’m building raised beds this year.

  10. Loved this video! I live in San Antonio , Texas and have not been successful in gardening. I have no experience and with our drought and hot summers….it has worked against me. However, after seeing your video of your beautiful home and gardens – I am very inspired to try again. This time I will try a raised garden and go from there. Thank you!!!

  11. Love this, Nicole! Your garden and house look amazing! I love my raised bed garden. Garden Girls help me with it seasonally.
