I don’t know anything about hot water systems in Australia, that’s very different than set ups we have here.
But I can say anything that puts water onto a lawn multiple times a day will cause issues. If that water is hot or has abnormally large amounts of minerals/metals (like copper), that will cause even more issues. In the case of the metals, those issues will last for a long time.
Worst case scenario, you could clear out the soil where it’s dripping and replace with sand, so that the water goes straight down, rather than spreading out onto a larger area.
