Very nice ❤lots of great information 👍👍
Good effort
I just bought seeds & plant cells, flats from you yesterday. I bought the 2.5 x 2.5 cells. Which I think was all I saw. Are these the small, med or large cells you recommended here? Following you channel.
Can't wait for the next vid of seed starting mix used, watering practice, & fertiliser used.
Are there any seeds that need to be soaked overnight or scuff up on sand paper?
How long do you leave plants under the grow lights?
What zone are you? I am in N. E. Wis and started my plants late Jan 23 years ago. My house became a forest from transplanting them. Lol lessons. 😅😊 Thanks for sharing
I just bought your book and love it! I would love ideas for combating aphids (water hose doesn't cut it) and blight. I can grow gorgeous tomato plants from seed but these two issues hit me hard early every year. Thanks so much!
Can the larger cells height play a part as well? Not sure how much higher the amount of light received would be by the seedlings being 1 inch or so closer to the grow light, assuming all containers were under the same light. I was messing around with a PPFD App and the difference in a couple inches closer to the light was surprising
I noticed last year the root systems on a lot of my transplants was not as established using the coco coir and fertilizing myself versus using the miracle gro potting mix I've used in the past. Do you think they just needed more fertilizer?
My goal this year, to grow best to tomatoes ever
What is your opinion on using the red solo cups ho up pot a seedling from one of the six cell containers?i have seen various gardeners try that.I am in zone 7 as well maryland.
World class, thank you!
Your tomatoes look amazing! I started mine December 7th and they’re so leggy. I started in a 1in tray cell and they were just not having it. I transplanted to 6 inch pots on the 28th to try and see if that would help but they’re riding the struggle bus still. I’m only a 2nd year grower and still learning. Thanks for posting. These videos help me a lot.
I guess this video is just for demonstration to portrait how far you can grow tomatoes within 4 weeks, or are you going to do something else with them until season starts in zone 7? Just asking, because here in zone 8a you should not transplant tomatoes outside (no greenhouse) before mid of may to be safe.
Just discovered your channel on YouTube and have been binge watching your videos. I’m in zone 7b and have been gardening for over 30 years..a lot of ur information has been very applicable. In one of your videos you had mentioned that you were growing a GMO Purple tomato developed by Norfolk Plant Sciences. I’m curious to see what your thoughts are on productivity, disease resistance, and taste when compared to your conventional heirloom/hybrid varieties. Would you grow it again? Thanks.

I am excited about the upcoming series. Here on Vancouver Island Canada, we have the mildest weather in all of Canada. I'm a beginner level gardener with lots of raised beds and watering system taps installed. Just need the step-by-step guidance. Larger pots for tomato roots to expand makes sense.
Thank you for all of the work you do-growing prop plants,etc.-to educate and spread your gardening expertise. Your videos are very helpful! I am looking forward to your 2025 videos.
Here we go again. Four more days, and I start seeds for my, and my mother's gardens. First on the list is onions, cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower.
