Possible fungal issue or maybe just too wet? Perennial ryegrass, seattle/tacoma area. Been really wet, nonstop rain 45 average temp for 6 weeks or so. Full lawn renovation over the summer. Thoughts? These spots are all over the lawn. Soil is 50/50 sand/compost, about 1.5″

Fertilizer schedule? 50/50 sand compost is going to require some more frequent inputs.

I did a 100% PRG reno for a family member in Tacoma last summer. I can agree, it’s been warm and wet and challenging for all kinds of growing, not just turf, both last spring and this fall.

Maybe I’m missing something, but this mostly looks like a thin spot that hasn’t fully grown in to me, and not what I was dealing with (clumps of wet clippings choking things out in the spring, and rust in the fall). I did an early-spring reno in 2023, which did give the lawn enough time to mostly grow in by summer (though last August did a number on it…). When did you put down seed?

I dont think I’d give it more fertilizer at this point—looks like more warm and wet, and then like last year, chilly end of January. But a spring overseed might not be a bad idea.
