Hey guys
I just moved into a new place and want to fix up the lawn.
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to grass types and maintenance.
It would be great to know
– what sort of grass this?
– what do I need to do to get coverage across the dirt sections?
– if it's an average type of grass, what is a good one to replace it with? (Again I'm a complete newbie so just asking the question).

Looks like a mix of summergrass and maaybe buffalo. I’d hire a lawnie to come in and quote on a vertimow, which if it’s buffalo has to be done differently. It also looks pretty solidly compacted and kinda claylike soil. What’s your location?
