I bought cork bark for my tillandsias and was excited about the pieces until I found what looks like a termite wing. Since the pieces are large, I can’t boil them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I used a steam cleaner on some of the pieces but apparently that did not kill the ones deep inside the cork. Since it’s freezing cold in New England, I put some outside in the sun room so anything that’s alive in them can die, but again, these are thick pieces so there’s plenty of room for them to hibernate.
