  1. Will fungi and pest live through Illinois winters? It has already been zero and wind chills of -30 deg. Michigan is probably the same but with more snow.

  2. Luke, I told my wife that I knew this guy (you) when he was a gawky, thin, long-haired teen talking excitedly about seeds. I recall you starting the site, the growth of your business, marriage, growing tips and now this next move. Congratulations on the farm which is due to your hard work and attitude. I use Migardener for almost all my garden needs and hope you have continued success. Can't wait until the farm is open for visitors.

  3. I planted fruit trees 7 years ago with no knowledge of what to do and guess what, I've never had a single piece of fruit off them! Last year I did use dormant spray and then we had a late frost that killed all fruit again. I'm trying again.. maybe I need different varieties!
Looking forward to more fruit tree content 😊

  4. Luke must be getting tired or waking up early! The tone of this episode is very somber and relaxing lol.
Keep up the content on the new orchard, were loving it!

  5. Will there be a pruning episode? I notice a lot of the trees are more pyramid shape than vase shape and have heard different things. Some say vae is best for apples, some say pyramid is better. I think vase for picking and sun penetration and its also ideal for peaches plums and various others.

  6. Ok y do i keep reading articles that say copper fungacide cant be mixed with sulfur products or need oil?????? This is so frustrating everywhere its different opinions

  7. Thanks, Luke, that is the one thing I forgot to do to my new Asian Pear trees! Maybe I can still get it done before it is too cold in my zone 7B-8A NC garden!

  8. Thank you Luke! I just pruned my fruit trees and was intending to do exactly what you did in this video but as usual time got away from me and I had totally forgotten . So thank you very much for the reminder! I'm so happy for you and the new farm, looking forward to the journey with you.

  9. Thank you for this video! Should this same dormant spray be beneficial or safe for dormant berry plants that have bark like serviceberry trees, blueberries or grapes?

  10. I have an issue with fire blight how do you recommend treating it? It seems to get worse every year on my Apple trees

  11. I have to admit, after the first tree spray video I was at the feed store yesterday looking over those two bottles and a sprayer. After a second one I have them coming from Amazon and will be glad to do a better job on my few trees. Can't wait for a pruning video or two.

  12. I had pear and apple trees on my past 2 properties. Wish I had known this. I have a apple tree on my current property. I will try this! Thanks!
