  1. Really beautiful! I love the grapevine loops and don’t think they look messy at all. I say this year’s designs are a WIN (and no head injury this year, either!!) ❤🎄

  2. In the Northeast, our containers are our winter interest. Over time I have collected enough fillers to offset the expense of purchasing the greens….including pine cones. I found Trader Joe's has the best deal for fresh greens. Re-using what I have left of the styrofoam, but will not be purchasing more. I have switched to inexpensive top soil to fill containers and hanging baskets…a great anchor. Think your front door container is kinda awesome, love the grape vine wreaths! The little pom pom ball things in the Urn look like little Truffula Trees. Dogwood branches last for years in my garage; I use them to stake my amaryllis. Less is more…every container looks beautiful.

  3. Wonderful, wonderful! Love outdoor pots too and mixing in forage and bought elements. Thank you for the inspiration to finish over here.

  4. Thank you for the inspiration to experiment with different types of containers and planters for Holiday decor! I love using pinecones in festive centerpieces indoors this time of year, but am now feeling inspired to also stage them in outdoor/porch decor too.

  5. Hi Erin! Love your winter containers! Every year they’re a bit different, always fun to watch. Pine cone and real berries are pure winter gems, but can be quite expensive so I tend to forage for those in my own yard. Cones we usually gather with kids during our walks in the forests and for the red berries I go for cotoneaster, they keep quite well in the arrangements. I have unlimited supply of the red twig dogwood from my neighbor and all the greens from my own garden. Thanx for sharing! Happy gardening!

  6. I have started using light weight pots now. I was worried about them cracking in the winter so i put them in the shed. What material of pot won't crack and yet be light?

  7. Your winter greens are so beautiful. Here in lovely 8a my Supertunias are still blooming despite lows in the 20s for a couple weeks now. We always want what we can’t have.

  8. Erin, I always love your Christmas outdoor pots! This year the vine pot is my favorite! It's very cool looking! 😎😊

  9. Hey Erin – totally off the subject of winter containers….but you often feature the Wild Magic Basil in your garden. Do you buy that as seeds or a plant? I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find it. Help!

  10. Love your pots!! I purchase what I can't get for free from tree lots. Even then, it's potluck (no pun intended!).
