On today’s 2 minute garden tip, I share how to water a vegetable garden during winter. While winter irrigation needs are much less than during summer, dry spells may require watering your garden. Watering needs also vary based on the stage of growth your plants are in. This easy soil test is how I determine if my plants need water for watering during winter.

  1. I live in zone 8.
I do not water my winter vegetables during winter. I just let them to their thing

  2. U R THE ABSOLUTE BEST. ❤❤❤ I can't keep house plants alive. I either over or underwater them. I did ok with the garden this summer, but thanks to you, I'm getting much better. ❤❤❤❤ your channel & also the shorts. Give Dale 🐶 a hug for me. ❤❤❤❤

  3. Do you put down the drip tape first then mulch? Or vise versa. And do you pull up the straw that you use for mulch or just add compost in top of it?
