Southern Arizona here – Need some advice/assistance please! We bought a house that previously had a goat pin in the backyard so the dirt is unleveled from when they moved out and “cleaned” it up. And it’s hard dirt – not soil. We also have a mound of dirt in the backyard as well that was left — wondering if I can use that dirt to fill these low spots or if it has to be a sand/soil mix as I’ve been reading from other posts? Just trying to use resources we already have. Will filling it with straight dirt have any issues in the long run? Dirt – water – compact – repeat is the plan.
