  1. I'd also like to add that depending on how large the mesh holes are it can keep pests in like aphids and spider mites and prevent the predator insects from going in and controlling the population, most beneficial insects are bigger than its prey except for some parasitic insects which are about the same size as their counterparts

  2. Thank you for posting this ❤I used netting to keep critters from my seedlings but a bird got trapped under the net Thankfully I was able to rescue it before it died but I’m still haunted by the sound of its frantic chirping 😢 I don’t use bird netting anymore 🕊️🌱💚❤️

  3. So now I need a better solution to the birds eating my figs. I tried this netting and between the caught birds and having it blow all over with the wind, it was the biggest hassle for a decent fig harvest.

  4. Birds create a lot of damage in the spring, so we use geomesh. It keeps them at bay and is super sturdy.

  5. Pin it down tight with camping pegs. Don't drape the netting it's an easy fix.
We have to use nets. Some ppl will never recieve a scrap from their garden thanks to rats etc and these days we're struggling to buy food and nothing will stop the use of nets. just don't drape it. if nets are tight, no rolling in it, no tangle.
