I'll be assembling this greenhouse as early as this weekend.
I will have it sitting on two courses of 4x4s with gravel as the floor.
This will be in Northeastern Virginia.

I already have the base frame assembled, and they provide no feature intended to anchor it. It's just a box with a lip on one corner, *edit* connected by plastic corner fittings. However, I can reuse some of the existing holes for the walls to attach brackets from the base frame to the 4x4s.

I won't feel comfortable unless I have cables going over the top of the structure. I don't have the thing assembled to really know what my options are, but I assume I'll have to run cables on the exterior. I have experience with cables and anchors with metal sheds, but this is aluminum and not nearly as strong as galvanized steel. How will the cable stay in place so it doesn't move around and scratch the finish off?

Note the 2nd photo showing anchoring is NOT at all how mine looks.

Is there a specific anchoring kit you recommend?

  1. Drill holes in the 4 bottom corners, and secure them to 18″ ground screws.

  2. DullDistribution3073

Build a frame out of 2× 4s attach to your base and then screw your aluminum frame to the wood one. You can use the inner frame as a base for shelving ,hanging lights or added insulation.

  3. Attached the GH to the 4×4 base with wood screws and fender washers.

Get one of the anchor kits from Amazon. (Sometimes called ground screws). Mine are 14″ and came in a 4 pack.

Mine has sustained some very gnarly winds.
