Today we check out the new Active Foam Cannon and out it up against the MJJC and Bear Force Foam Cannons. We also find out a way to have an even playing field with dilutions to make anything foam like an MJJC.

  1. I have an Active foam CANNON ARRIVING Friday. What does the clicking adjustment of the nozzle adjust?

  2. First, I don’t use foam. Why? Because I don’t believe bubbles clean any better than no bubbles. At least not in a perceivable way. Foaming takes time … which eats into my bottom line. Plus, no amount of foam is going to get a vehicle clean without agitation. So, to me, it’s an unnecessary step since you’re going to be hands on anyway. For me, it’s soap in a bucket, wash vehicle and then dry. Traditional or rinseless.

However, foaming looks cool and is fun to dink around with at home. With that being said, I think the Active foam cannon looks the best. It’s probably one of the most stable. Is it the most foamy of the foamers? Probably not, but it’s more than adequate. I have one of the old MtM cannons and I’ve maybe used it all of 3 times over the years. I don’t see myself using a new cannon … so this entire video is sort of lost on me. But I do appreciate the information and effort.

    😊😊😊

  3. Great video as usual. I’m still putting together up my first pressure washer car cleaning set up. Right now I’m trying to decide on pressure washer gun. I know you like the MTM but I don’t think I would like the angle you have to hold it at. I was planning on just trying out the Harbor Freight “RIDGE WASHER” gun for $25 but then decided to just splurge a little more on the gun maybe. Which do you like better the MCKILLANS PRO for $72.00 or that new ACTIVE for $80.00? It seems like they all have problems with leaking swivels and failing triggers no matter the price point so I wonder if warranty is better or longer with one over the other. I think I read Mckillans was only like 30 days which is ridiculous.

  4. I might have have missed it in your list. Do you have the link for the pressure washer shower nozzle. The one you said the price went up.

  5. I had the same results. The Active Foam Cannon produces a nice, consistent spray of slightly wet foam compared to the thick dry foam of my light blue PWACCS.

The packaging, construction, and overall presentation of the Active Foam Cannon is top notch!

I can see myself starting to prefer the slightly wetter foam this foam cannon produces.

When I want thicker foam I can just change the dilution to 30:1 over 32:1.

  6. Awesome video, Jeff just posted his video so now I'll go watch that. IMO the MJJC is still the reigning champ. MJJC Pro 2 and MJJC S V3.0 are just so good. I wish more foam cannons would use the m.22 quick connect. Its just so much easier to get to the orifice.

  7. As an MJJC S V3.0 owner I would recommend the Bearforce to anyone looking for a foam cannon. These $80/$85/$90 foam cannons are ridiculous. Everything is expensive as it is, bear force is plenty!

  8. Active foam cannon actually seems solid. Curious if 5/16 allows you to have the same flow as the 3/8 from your dual pressure washer setup or if it causes some restriction like the 1/4. There are probably GPM ceilings based on diameter.

  9. Thank you keav! I will be sticking with my MJJC & Griots. ❤ your videos! Thank you for putting in all this time & effort for all of us. It’s truly appreciated.

  10. First off, great review and a lot of work. At the start when you demoed the weighted pickup tube, I couldn't help but wonder if the Griot's Garage's Sure-Flow Metering Tips would work with the Active foam cannon allowing one to just skip the premixing all together, especially when a detailer like yourself finds one soap they like/use as their go-to? In other words, will that cannon mix/meter enough water to provide a 32:1 mixture. Again, Great review.

  11. I use to be first in line for detailing products but now i wait and support the research being done by detailers .. Active Foam Cannon v2 or 2.0 coming in January .. great video

  12. The best thing is to make a foam cannon with a rubber sleeve on the bottom. That will prevent it from cracking the rubber will soften the blow.Looks like a decent foam cannon. I have many different brands I have tried out. Thanks for the review ✊💎

  13. So the active needs less water with the same amount of soap so in reality it’s less efficient thus inferior to MJJC. I’m losing a 100ml of water so technically the cannon won’t go as far. And it’s more expensive albeit by a few dollars. Thanks for the test I’m not seeing anything innovative from active here.

  14. Just buy 3 or 4 bear forces and if you drop it accidentally grab another. If I dropped a mjjc or active on accident I would be pissed. Not enough difference in foam imo. Thanks for putting in the time on this one Keav

  15. Thanks for the Great review and all the hard work you do putting out all these Awesome videos. I think for now I will stick with my MJJC. at least till I drop it. LOL. I do like how the Active doesn't leak. Thanks again for all the links too. Happy Thanksgiving

  16. Thanks for the link for the rinse nozzle! Had been using a black soap nozzle based on one of your older videos. Will be purchasing that new one you use!

  17. I love these videos!!! All the technical details and knowledge you bring baffles me every time!! Amazing review!!!

  18. Ha ha ha that bottle got some hard time !
That is the true definition of torture test 🤣
All jokes aside Active did a pretty good job despite the fact their orifice diameter is not that accurate.
    Great video !

  19. I need help and hopefully you or one of your subscribers can offer some suggestions.

Former gas pressure washer user. Frankly, I could attach the cheapest foam canon and get the best results. Since switching to electric, not so much. Runny foam and by runny its “watery”.

I’m not looking for shaving cream foam, but certainly something equal to what was shown in this video.

    I have a Westinghouse WPX 3000 E, 3000 psi with 1.76 GPM

Between the outside faucet and the pressure washer, the water passes through a SPOTFREE PRO100 DI water system.

I’ve tried the MJJC V3, TRINOVA, and a noname off Amazon. I’ve used each of their supplied orifice and stepped down to a 1.1. Although the 1.1 was better than each other”stock” orifice (1.25?), the results were nowhere near anything shown in this video.

I suspected the DI system might be the culprit restricting the GPM so I went directly from the faucet to the power washer. No improvement.

I measured the water output from the pressure washer and its meeting spec at about 1.8 GPM.

Any ideas what the issue could be… I’m lost here?

I ordered the MJJC V2 pro out of desperation because it seems to always work for others, it arrives on Monday.

The low noise of electric might please the neighbors but performance out of these electric power washers isn’t anything I’ve been pleased with so far.

    H E L P needed!!!!

  20. I was wondering what would happen with flow rate if you swap mesh filters between each other, and thank you for the effort you put in this video.

  21. Been using your rinse nozzle since you shared it and its a game changer for door jambs and mats where I just want to flood the areas. I prefer runnier soap! So the active looks amazing, prefer the 1.45 as well. Thank you for your thorough testing.

  22. Your content is just amazing. Really look forward to all you new videos. Can you share any info on the container that you have the DIY detail incredible suds diluted to 32:1 shown in the video at 13:36? Thank you!

  23. Honestly, I feel like the MJJC is the superior foam cannon in some ways. I'm just worried about using the wrong orifice size or not using a steel braided hose and going over the 15 amp circuit.

  24. Which shower nozzle is best to get? I'm on amazon using your link and see .3, .4, and .5 Thanks in advance Keav!
