A pointed blade is easier to dig with, the squared blade is better to cut roots. You should try a four tined digging fork or a sawed off tater digger? LOL
A spade looks like a spade hints the name that one was a flat top garden shovel
Great! Spread the word on these. They dig deep through gravel, mulch, hard soil. I plunge it in just with my arms. Not good for moving soil. I have a long handle. LOVE it!
