From Waste to Wonder: The DIY Fertilizer You Need to Try!
Every day, people harvest fresh vegetables from their gardens, discarding leaves and peels without much thought. These parts, often overlooked, are packed with nutrients that can bring life back to the soil and feed plants naturally. Instead of throwing them away, there are ways to transform these scraps into something useful and powerful for gardens. Among the methods available, one stands out for its speed and effectiveness.

The first and more common method is composting. Vegetable scraps can be added to a compost pile, where they break down over months. The result is nutrient-rich compost that can nourish plants. However, this process requires patience, as it can take four to six months for the material to fully decompose and become ready for use. While composting is excellent for long-term soil health, there’s a faster alternative that provides immediate results.

A liquid fertilizer can be made from these vegetable scraps. This method harnesses the nutrients locked inside the leaves and peels, creating a powerful liquid filled with everything plants need to thrive. The process is straightforward and requires just a little effort, making it an excellent choice for gardeners looking for quick and effective solutions.

  1. Assalamalaikm! Good video as always, You can do something called "hot composting" where you take more green materials than the carbon materials like cardboard, leaves etc…. and you turn the layers 2-3 times a week. I made compost in just 20 days with this method IN A 5 GALLON BUCKET lol.

  2. I feed to my chickens and use the manure. Even better
