  1. Thank you sharing your home, work place, lifestyle, your art and your thought process behind your design and art. I really love how you have included art in your life; and thanks to your parents and your family for being part of your journey.

  2. A very comfortable house that is great to raise kids in- nothing is too precious to get damaged and nicks just add to the aged patina. I think that desk in her office was even a wood picnic table with a table cloth on top.

  3. @33.01 (That is a pheasant, not a quail; and following shortly after are pheasant and turkey feathers, not quail feathers.)

  4. Very familiar with Chestnut Hill and grew up in Mt. Airy just down the road. My mother worked in the Bright Spot 5&10 on Germantown Avenue. Your home is a beautiful home. We have similar backgrounds in that I have a design background in graphic design, illustration, interior design and as a fine artist painter. I stayed in Philadelphia and never made that jump to New York City. I worked for Nelson Associates which is now Nelson Global and then spent many years as a senior graphic designer for Aramark Inc. at their Philadelphia Headquarters. I worked in fashion branding and design and for a greeting card company. I taught at the Moore College of Art and Design in their illustration program as an adjunct professor. I survived as an artist in Philadelphia which is kind of neat. I enjoyed seeing your home. I grew up in a home which was all mid- century modernist filled. Chestnut Hill is very nice, and I remember taking the trolley as a kid with my older sister to buy me saddle shoes when I was about four years old. That was sixty years ago!

  5. Am I the only one annoyed by him narrating everything she says or over talking her. She lives here and i would have loved to hear why she did what she did with out him interjecting. I wanted to see this home, but ghesh it felt like a interview and we were flies on the wall!

  6. You house is beautiful you decor style is simple classic cozy worm I love thank you very much to share your lovely and beautiful home🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

  7. Love this home and episode. Her taste is impeccable.
Edit: I’ve read in another comment that this house isn’t in Chestnut Hill, so that explains the references to ‘suburbs’.
    ——
Now, I’m wondering why they both refer to this home as being ‘outside of Philadelphia’ and ‘in the suburbs’. This is directly and perfectly within Philadelphia and isn’t the suburbs. I bristle when Hillers try to distance themselves from the city in which they live.

He called it ‘Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania’, which doesn’t exist. Chestnut Hill is simply a neighborhood in Philadelphia (19118).

Philadelphia is beautiful and gritty, all at once. Let’s protect the authenticity of our founding city by being accurate.

    Great episode!

  8. Loved having Jeff Caldwell narrating the tour with Kate. Made the video more interesting to listen to as he pointed out a few interesting details that may have been overlooked otherwise. 😊

  9. Very cozy and elegant home. Kate really inspires creative work and a more relaxed and still beautiful / unique home. Loved the "confetti" use of color and Jeff helped us learn more about her and her life style. What a treat. Thank you.

  10. I love the Pennsylvania ones I'm bias lol from philly but live in Johnstown in a large old home and addicted to homeworthy

  11. I really enjoyed hearing about her home and the stories that inspired her choices. On my wish list for this video would have been better lighting. Many areas seemed dark and I would love to see them come alive.

  12. Jeff did an excellent Job guiding this tour!! I really loved his way of talking with the hostess about her home and her life. So thank you very much😊

  13. Lovely home. I enjoyed this tour and meeting a new artist. I would like to have seen more lights turned on. It felt dark.

  14. Absolutely love her home! A beautiful historic home in Chestnut Hill as the backdrop for her lovely, unpretentious style. I adore all the colors she has used. Plus, even with the amazing career she has had, she herself appears to be unpretentious as well. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

  15. So refreshing. I took about 50 screen shots and I will definitely buy her book and look into Lisa Corti (sp?) fabric. Wonderful house and I’m sure the children will have lifelong memories of happily growing up there. PS: The art studio is an inspiration and a nudge to clean mine!
