    As far as keeping animals whether it be a pet or as part of your homestead, the important considerations should be: Are they healthy? Are they comfortable or are they in a state of fear? Do they have enriching activities? All of these things can be accomplished with a small covey in a small crate or cage.

    Hey Asia. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I’ve heard that if you’re growing many different mushrooms, make sure you have good ventilation and air circulation in your home because of the spores that will be in the air. Just wanted to mention that. Happy growing ❤😊

    firstly your hair looks gorgeous i love it but then i was like omg! why have i not seen those hydroponics before they are so what i need il be treating myself to those after christmas , i have lights etc but they cost so much to run , are these cheap to run? xxx

    My animals are in some kind of cage also. The difference between us and big commercial keepers is that we don't cram them into cages. We take better care of our animals and our animals are protected in our "cages"! THEY ARE treated better with kindness. People don't understand BECAUSE they have no experience. I believe you are doing an excellent job of caring for your urban homestead! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I am taking this time this morning to relax before my day's busy activity starts!

    Okaye mushrooms come threw! It took me a while to get my seeds kinda organized 😆 I'm bursting at the seams to raise my own quails but, the way my apartment is setup, I'll need to hold them together a little while longer.
    I've invested in a water distiller because I've been using more distilled water than I thought I would be.

    Asia, How are you? Thank You for sharing your garden journey. I like mushrooms and I am learning to love them. I was scared of growing them but now you have motivated me to learn to grow mushrooms! At the moment I am over wintering my eggplant & my grand bell pepper plants for the first time. I think I caught them in time for my zone 7A👍🏾. I found my strawberries were still strong. I am going to up pot them along with my bok choi and beets because they are hanging on so I am going to see how well they hang on indoors. I almost gave up on these plants and this garden season. I also am using Kellogg potting mix for the first time too. I am doing a lot of first right now & I am so excited..! Thank You 😂😊👏🏾👍🏾

    Growing mushrooms sounds great, until they start releasing spores and you wonder why you are sneezing for no reason, you will be breathing in those spores. I know. I grew those before. I was sitting in our den and they were near the window and I saw movement near the bags with the maturing mushroom growing. I saw waves and waves of spores being released by the mushrooms, I harvested the mushrooms so quick and threw them in freezer and the project was done for me. I won’t grow them in my house anymore. It will have to be in greenhouse. Mushrooms will grow anywhere in ideal conditions. So keep harvesting to reduce spores going everywhere.
