  1. Hello my wonderful allotment friend, I have a tip for warming your hands a little which is a god saver, buy some surgical gloves and wear them underneath the other gloves, you’re hands literally give so much heat in those gloves but underneath the normal gardening ones, should keep them extra toasty, I know from past experience working at the allotment! Specially when it comes to icy water and specifically this time of year xx

  2. Everytime I see Einstein now I think of him as Einstein 2.0 sadly. He looks different to me. 💔 ❤
But love the fact that you are a Robin whisperer!

  3. Emma lift the fleece so it is not touching the potato leaves, and you could cover them up with soil completely

  4. Fantastisch video the moostuin te groente bloemkool 🌤☕️🍂🧤🦺🥦thans te video Top week 🌹

  5. I have tried to grow cauliflower for 3 seasons now and failed the only thing I can think of is the time of year I put them out they are a cool hardy plant even the all year round ones so I am going to do you r method just wak them in

  6. I’m sure I saw somebody break the spine of cauliflower leaves and fold them in. They seemed to stay once the spines had been snapped. You ought to take the sprouts from the bottom and work your way up the stem. Another tip with the eaten cabbage leaves is to remove them so that the plant doesn’t put energy into growing damaged leaves.

  7. Regarding your twine – coil your twine into a ball. Get a plastic container with a lid. Puncture a hole in the lid. Thread the twine through. As you pull the twine out the ball will thread through.
Conclusion- no more messy twine. 🇨🇦👀👍

  8. Congratulations on that lovely 💜 cauliflower!!! 💡 ☕ Might consider a little camping gas burner for tea, hot chocolate, soup if you plan on being up there throughout the winter.
Best wishes to you! Thank you for everything.

  9. Have you Googled about PEST prevention ideas. SLUGS love BEER and drown in the process. Leave overturned jars with ALE in them and they die happy. Also there are natural Garlic prays you can use for other pests.

  10. Hey Emma! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I agree with you. Why grow plain white cauliflower, when you can add a rainbow of colors. Your purple cauliflower is beautiful! Cindy 🌱

  11. Emma you are a inspiration to others lovely to see you in your happy place sprouts and cauliflower look lovely i look forward to your videos

  12. Hi Emma. What an amazing cauliflower 🙂. I want to thank you for inspiring me to play my piano again (yes it's true). I always enjoy listening to your background music. There's a beautiful relaxing piano piece that you have; I used the Shazam App to identify it: it's called 'Ever so blue' by 'Letters'. I couldn't find any sheet music on line, so I've spent hours writing the music myself by ear onto blank piano sheets. I can now play the piece to my self – I love it. Thank you so much🙂

  13. I hated sprouts as a child but as an adult I love them 😂

Maybe with the potatoes, because the fleece is touching the leaves the frost got it? Maybe worth trying having the fleece raised slightly so it doesn’t touch the leaves?

    Xx

  14. You need an actual insect cover to,protect your brassicas. It’s a much finer material. Looks like The holes in the black netting you have are too big, letting slugs and all the bugs in.

  15. Well done on the cauliflower Emma. Any ideas on what to use to protect cabbage and cauliflower leaves – mine are being eaten by something. They are growing in a polytunnel

  16. The only cauliflower you need to cover with the leaves are white ones. It keeps the head nice and white if it’s not self blanching. Covering them doesn’t help their size etc. If you do cover them you need to check them occasionally for mold and pests.

  17. What a coincidence, we often say we’d love to get locked in ikea as soon as many rooms to stay in. That cauliflower looks fantastic, well done.
