  1. I ordered three different compact growing Hostas earlier this spring. Unfortunately, I left them in the box for almost a month and by the time I got to planting them in May, they were grown leggy inside the plastic bag they came in. So they had a terrible start. They eventually replaced the leggy growths with newer leaves, but one of them is about half dead looking now.
    I'll gonna see if they will come back next spring assuming that I will successfully overwinter them. I know they are very hardy so I plan on just leaving them unprotected and see what happens.
