WOWWW!!! How exciting was that, what a massive undertaking with those giant rocks. I really loved that part and how they are handling it, indeed a ballet with diggers. The boys look that they want to be out there the whole day watching them, so sweet! John going at that huge rock was priceless! It had a touch of the Basil Fawlty about it – Do you remember that scene with him hitting his car with a branch after it broke down?🤣🤣🤣
It's a shame it had to be divided but it's going to make two amazing features near the bio pool and I can't wait to see that moving on whilst the main parts of the house are going up.
I did really appreciate that last quiet walk with Obi though, and I'm only hearing the digger noise for 30mins, so your poor ears must be ringing!

What a great crew you have!!! The digger ballet was incredible. I greatly admire their skills. These rocks have their history to tell, make them the protagonists of one of your beautiful projects!!!❤
Considering you work out of your home, 3000 sq feet is not that large. A master, three or four bedrooms, an office, utility/mud room, kitchen, family room, living room, and three bathrooms will easily take up 2500-3000 sq ft.
Those massive rocks/stones are so majestic it will be wonderful to use them in many places around the property I'm sure both of you have already started ideas in your heads or plan in the making for where they will be and stone work that John can explore (perhaps a new talent will evolve??!!) Get ready for the noise to be the makings of continuous head thumpings thou as you said the weekends will be bliss and a chance for quality family time. Well Tara it is all happening at last and you know full well it is the preparation that takes the time when all the rock is removed and ground levelled it will be so exciting to see the house gradually going up . That was a nice clip you did at the end walking the dog and the view is stunning , I agree with you about it being the most beautiful place to live it makes you feel so blessed . Wow fantastic progress! Absolutely agree that a 4 bedroom house is the most practical for all the reasons you listed plus as the boys grow they will need more space and you often have visitors. You won't know yourselves when it's finished 👍👍
I have seen that your family makes very sound decisions. You roll with the punches, as we say in the southern U.S.A. It will work out and we will all be enchanted and amazed. Take many photos of the boys, the construction and the family.

Hi both, could you not use those big rocks that Mario and his mate split up as a part of your new stairs down to the bio pool level that way every time you go down those steps you’ll be able to talk to Sayer & Crusoe about how they where dug out of fraggle rock and split up to be used on these stairs so that means you boys are standing on rock for out of the garage from the new house. How special are these rocks .

Tara and John, I loved your episode with the baby elephants. Then in my new feed is your last year Christmas 2023. In that show you have these little baby elephants you're putting on the Christmas tree. I was like oh my God. Little did you know then you would be honoring the elephants again.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I do not understand this at all! I thought it would be good to build your house upon a rock? As little kids, we used to sing a song about the foolish man building his house upon the sand and the winds, and the rain came along, and the floods came, and his house was swept away, but the wise man built his house upon the rock, and when the winds in the rain and the floods came, his house, stood firm! Why would you not want to build it on granite? With all the rain that you get in Portugal seems to me that’s why it was built there in the first place.

I did comment on Wednesday, but it seems to have disappeared! SUper Mario to the rescue, but also with help! Love Sawyer's dinasaur shirt, and the wonderful smile that goes with it. Who would have thought watching diggers could be so interesting? Tara, you are right, it is exciting knowing what all this leads to. The "Digger Ballet" was a good watch, but had Sawyer and Crusoe been there, it would have been fabulous. Happy they were off from all the noise having a good day. 🌹
