When you think you have seen all the incredible gardens in your town, think again! It was such a joy to get to climb the driveway and explore the garden behind the ivy-slope! I cannot believe what Chauncey Freeman has achieved.
This is in Eugene, Oregon, Zone 8, filmed in Early November.
Chauncey’s well-balanced placement of so many different textures, colors, and shapes shows his astute understanding of his craft as a Landscape Architect. The spaces he has created for R&R in the garden are absolutely perfect – Inviting, comfortable, well-lit, sprinkled with a little bit of whimsey. I am so in awe!
Find Chauncey on instagram: @5thseasongarden
For a deeper dive into the insect sculptures dotted around the garden, check out @sean_goddard_insects, also on instagram.
And watch until the end to learn how you can enter Cameraman Franklin’s Mushroom Giveaway!

This is my dream garden. Such a lovely garden with the mix of conifers, perennials and grasses. If possible, could you please include some of the names of the conifers shown. I would love to get an idea of the size and growth of some of the lovely conifers shown. Thank you so much for sharing your garden. It really is a beautiful retreat.❤

I can’t pick what I’m in love specifically, because I want to take all of it home! But I will say the icy icy blue tall evergreen in the front of his home near the street….if it turns up missing? It wasn’t me! 😂 mushroom giveaway 🎉

Gorgeous garden, thank you for sharing it. My favorite plant was the Papoose but the whole vision together is really what makes it a treasure. Also Mushroom Giveaway :-).
Mushroom gardening rocks! Thank you for all of the conifer ideas. Looking for 1 or 2 for the front of our home in zone 6a, part sun, and to get no wider than 6 ft. Prefer a white pine for it's medicinal benefitsand didn't know about Japanese varieties. Tu. Happy to share this video via the URL. :J
Got a lot of good going on … Biggest problem I have is over planted with yucca and grasses … Can't see boulders
