  1. I've made pomanders for years. My little hack is to use push pins to start the hole. They're easy to handle and even stop before the hole gets deeper than needed ๐Ÿ˜Š
    And they smell amazing!

  2. Samantha sitting on your motherโ€™s lap makes it hard to miss how much she resembles her. Hat a beautiful family activity.

  3. Iโ€™m 56 years old now and I remember making clove oranges for a Christmas gift for my aunt when I was a little girl! It was so easy and fun to do. Thank you for bringing back that wonderful memory!
Edit: Forgot to say that my mom gave me ribbon to tie around them so they could be hung in my auntโ€™s closet.

  4. I've also heard mosquito bits/dunks work of fungus gnat larvae. Might be worthwhile for some to try if they don't want a huge investment. Break it up and soak it in water then just water the soil with it.

  5. Hi Laura, You may already be aware, "Tanlin" drops will also help gnat control by breaking the life cycle of them in the soil. Use as a preventative as well as ongoing treatment, only one drop in 2 litres. Definitely works and very cost effective too I find. BTW I am a huge fan of you, your work and your lovely family.

  6. The clove oranges last forever and continue to smell wonderful. I have my great grandmotherโ€™s. Hers were fully covered in cloves. There probably isnโ€™t any orange left, just cloves.๐ŸŠ

  7. I haven't had any fungus knots in my grow room for the past 2 years. I do soil blocking and use the Miracle-Gro indoor potting mix. And it's been working great.

  8. Making slices of orange lemon and grapefruit, dehydrate and string up like stained glass was one of those scout projects that turn out well. Kid friendly after the cutting part.

  9. i wish i was in your family ! i would love to grow up doing this!! well i am doing all these projects now with my grandson!!! thanks laura and mom n kids of course for sharing

  10. Thatโ€™s a sweet idea! Love it! First time: I just ordered 2 large purple kneeling pads with a GA cap! Merry Christmas to me and my mom! Iโ€™m so excited. We will love them!๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽˆ We are both lifelong gardeners and we love your show !๐Ÿ˜Š Merry Christmas!๐ŸŽ„

  11. I made these as a child and put a ribbon on top for our teacher's to hang in their closets- in the 60's ! Samantha looks just like her grandmother, Susan. So cute!
