Hurricane season is almost over, and yet this is only a 2 day old post. Don't you think you left it a little to late to post something like this? We've already had four lethal hurricanes this year – Beryl. Debby. Helene & Milton, and the hurricane season is pretty much over. There's thousand of people left homeless from them, right when the weather is getting colder, and fema ls dropping the ball on those people, at least if you hear the people who've been affected the most by the loss of their homes. It's really bad when the living start envying the dead. I hope they all get some help soon.
The Safe room and generator is a good idea, but it's important to place it above the highest potential water levels, and have a chemical toilet as well as a fridge. The best kind of generator is one that uses natural gas, as thuse lines keep working even during a power outage, and the exhaust is much safer and easier to vent than gasoline. Also waterproof any emergency power circuits. All these improvements could be made in a single day, so to anyone living in any of the gulf states it would be worth it.
