  1. I've never seen it planted so I'm not going to. – bummer!! would be more protected if so. cover with the cloth below 35 degrees, but would be happier in the ground regardless

  2. I live in 9a central Florida, and I planted a Norfolk pine after Christmas last year and it's thriving really well, it has doubled in size, but I do realize you are on the other coast. Just thought it might be worth a try. Love your gardening podcast, look forward to watching every day! Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. Janey! Love this evergreen vibe. I saw this idea that if I ever had this set up it would be awesome to use. They just put grapevine wreaths over the plants and it sits on the rim of the pot. Looked so cute. Anyway, love everything you do and your joy is contagious ❀️

  4. Hi Janey❣️. The Norfolk Pine is small enough to move to the greenhouse on cold nights. I have one that lived indoors last year. This year it is thriving in my greenhouse in zone 8b.

  5. I see the difference in front of your office, Monty has grown up this year!! Ha! Ha! You choice of evergreens and the placements are amazing! You and Jason are the greatest!!

  6. I've had a beautiful Norfolk Pine for 3 yrs now, and im in zone 8b. I bring it in once the temps drop below 55 at night and use it as my Christmas tree! I love it! 😊
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  7. My salvia comes back each year. I just cut back. Funn bees are still on mine too. I am 7A. We get our firstfreeze next week. Sad

  8. Hi Janey. I think a really full Plain evergreen wreath would look beautiful on your office door with white Christmas lights around the door. the wreath and plants would compliment each other. Love your selection of "living Christmas trees".

  9. Love your channel!
Have you tried overwintering your supertunias?
Mine always come back, 3 years in a row now,
It seems like a waste throwing them away. We are in Paso Robles CA, zone 8b I think.

  10. Awww it’s so pretty!! I love it! Definitely need lights, they are just so fun πŸ˜ŠπŸ’• And you can replant them in your garden! I’m pretty sure that calculates as free in garden math 😜

  11. I love the Camellia!
Here in FL zone 10 those Norfolk Island pines get 80 feet tall (and they're considered potentially invasive when planted in the ground)! They are so cute when they're small tho!

  12. So festive. Are you coming to the PNW NorthWest Flower Festival in February? Tickets are 50% off for black Friday through Dec 2nd. I got mine. I'm hoping to meet you and Katie from Hello Garden.

  13. I saw those same β€œliving Christmas trees” at our HD here in Clovis. I was so tempted to get them. Maybe I’ll need to do that.

  14. Seems like everyone likes the idea of the Norfolk in the greenhouse…it would be pretty there with white lights…and safe.

  15. I live 20ish miles down the road from you,I have a Norfolk pine outside in a pot for 2 years and it has done well in a bit of a sheltered spot. There are 2 Norfolk pines in my town that are in the ground. One of them is about 15’ Tall. I bet you could grow one in the ground!

  16. I over winter my pw annuals in my greenhouse.cut them back & they live in greenhouse fornwinter& come spring they come back just as beautiful.

  17. Does "a good deal" have anything to do with "gardener's math?" Hahahaha! 🀣Happy Thanksgiving Janey & Family πŸ₯°πŸ’πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄

  18. Hi Janie, your Mystic Spires is a perennial here in North Texas, so I assume it would be for you, too. Mine blooms until we have a freeze. A superstar plant for sure! Love your climbing rose.

  19. Hi Janie! I know you do not reply to comments but I thought I would give a suggestion on the stones in front of the door. Instead of 6 little stones, how about one big one that gives you a bigger landing pad and more of a vibe? I hope Jason sees this. It’s nice to hear your thoughts on what we comment😊

  20. O goodness wish i was closer mystic spires are perennials here in Texas. I know its probably to late but if you trim it wayyyy back and stick it in ground it may come back. ❀ either way love the content keep pushing for your dreams

  21. Hi Janey. Love what you’re doing in your garden. Just a thought, are you able to grow grass from your back porch to the office area to break up all that mulch. Maybe make a green path down to the greenhouse. Just a thought. Enjoy your ideas on your yard. Take care. Keep planting 🌻
