Is morning light CREATES a thriving edible garden!
In my opinion, this is the case in the harsh summer months.
Many plants can struggle in extreme heat, and the afternoon summer sun can sometimes be brutal.
So planning and planting accordingly can make a huge difference for a thriving edible garden.

  1. Beautiful, it's the best time of the day. There is only one better place to see the sun rise and that is sitting out the back of your favourite break. Have a wonderful day, 💚🌲🌊🤙 and at the very end. That's GOLDEN 👍

  2. I’ve been taking photos morning and late arvo texting the time & month for future reference re where to plant stuff and I’m still confused as to hours of sunlight. If a plant needs say 6 hours, does it have to be direct sun beating down on it, or as long as it’s daylight? I’m a confused little sheep.

  3. Sam e as you in WA the Butcher birds magpies and ravens and the occasion kookabugger are my alarm clock. great time of the dayto be productive before it gets too hot anyway what you are talking about is sun mapping I do for 3 seasons susprin, summer, winter and move the tubs and plantings about to suite easy to do just look up sun mapping cheers bloke

  4. 👍Usually out and about once it's light enough to see, best part of the day. Winter time drives me nuts when its still dark at 6.30 or so.

  5. You could have come & had a coffee with me in my Potting Shed at I was up around 4.30 am this morning. V for Victory . Cheers Denise at Geebung

  6. ‘Red sky in the morning; shepherd’s warning’ … there’ll be rain on the way 🙂

  7. Definitely. This year is the first year I have been able to use the raised beds at the back of my unit. I build a frame which enabled me to put some garden shade cloth over to protect them from the harsh afternoon sun. Morning sun is wonderful for my front garden.

  8. Our rooster wakes me around 4 am but usually go back to sleep and miss sunrise, then again am rented so it is OK.Must try to get out there early now the hot weather is hitting us.

  9. I live on the edge of the outback and the heat out here is incredible. I have to have protection from the west for my garden or everything gets toooooo much sun. My garden is fenced otherwise my chickens would destroy it and I let the native weeds like stinging nettle, cleavers, thistle and so forth grow up along the outside of the western fence to protect that side of the garden from the blistering afternoon heat. I tried to have a green house but a willy willy destroyed it in quick time.

  10. I might be wrong because I'm not in your area but that sounds like a VERY noisy mynah bird at the end. Letting all the other birds know there is a predator around, and that would be you. lol. It set off the noisy mynahs outside my kitchen widow haha.
