Cedar looks good against black fence! It was the right thing to pull the Bermuda grass from in front of the trellis. Maybe some Irish moss around the stepping stones when that gets done?

I figured it out as soon as you said you were going to plant something there. Great choice and so smart putting it in a pot so it can be moved, if and when you want to move it. Looks fantastic against the black fence.

Well, you fooled me! I guessed ginkgo, but this new tree is AWESOME! It look fabulous against the fence. The color contrast couldn't be better! Agreeing with the others that the stake would look great painted the fence color!
