Prepping a garden bed for spring seems so far away and pointless, however the need to elevate this part of the landscape is a must. Lets add some charm to the fence line and get some plants in the ground.

  1. I always get excited when I see you post a new video. Thank you for all your hard work and inspiration. 💙💚💛🧡❤️💜 Liz GardenHappy

  2. Is that your fence? I’d love to plant next to my neighbors fence but I’m worried that I’ll have to rip everything out if they decide to remove the fence. Their fence is inside their property line.

  3. Smart of you to keep a gap between the bed and fence. The previous owner of our house/property piled soil up against the fence in places for various beds. We've been having to replace rotting fence panels and posts since we moved in and usually end up excavating about 6" (depth) of soil away from the fence in the process.

  4. Love the new Bed. I look forward to see it bloom out in the spring. And I adore those rocks for the short retaining wall. They perfectly accentuate the curve along the walkway.

  5. I am so glad that I found your channel! I love ya'lls gardens and your creativity! Love this project! Always looking forward to the next. Thank you for sharing. 😊

  6. Looking great. Can’t wait to see them in spring and looking forward to the man cave project.

  7. What a walk thru paradise.. just beautiful! and nothing like a rain after planting new plants. keep it coming Mike! Love love Genie : )

  8. Love your creativity!!! What are the narrow evergreen trees in the bed next to what you planted today? Have you ever done a tour that identifies your main plants? I’d love to see that & any drone footage you might have❤. Keep inspiring us!!

  9. Thank you! I have a berm just like that..I bought that steel border material, but it won't bend around a curve, so I can use it in a straight area, but what are those rocks you used? Are they man made? Must be as they are the same size, do you know where I can get those? Just seeing you do that has made me realize it will good on the berm I made last yr.
Yours looks like its always been there! I love it.

  10. You are such a romantic! Of course, your wife has told you that for years — I'm just listening to you, now!

I WAS concerned about the iris being overshadowed by the hydrandgea — but if the iris blooms in Mar?? April?? The hydrangea fills out in April? Hmmm — tell us, more specifically, when it's occuring, k?? Thx!! Love your garden. It lacks only a working model railroad. My g-son and I are model rail freaks!!

    Take very good care.

  11. The large rocks you used at the front of your border looks good. Where do you get block stone boarder that large from? Great job.
