This is one of at the same time saddest and most beautiful stories… Sad because of the parents refusal to really see their children for who and what they really were, and beautiful because of the way the two children found each other again after so many years and formed a true family with their grandmother.
Its a crime to abandon your kids. She should have had her parents arrested.
Sadly there are many university graduates who look down upon others based solely on their lack of university education.
Finally a student that didn’t get a full ride scholarship!
You don’t get to be family only when it’s convenient or you need money!
OP's parents are rotten to the core. They should be in jail for abandoning her. But one day, they will get a lot worse when God finally judges them.
Parents? What parents? My parents died when I was 14.
It’s nice to hear that the golden child wasn’t an entitled toxic person. It’s great that they became close and loving and that they escaped their egg and sperm donors’ prison!
Nice story, but as someone who lived in Boston as a physician, O think those parents would have more likely glommed onto their daughter's talent to brag about it to their friends. Academics like them would also be into the arts, music and literature.
It is no surprise that the OP's father was harassing young women. Why not cheat? (or TRY to since none of them responded to his advances and complained instead). He did not love his wife and his wife did not love him. The most sacred bond possible between 2 people is not marriage. It is having one or more CHILDREN together.
If they would have a child together which should be the most sacred bond possible and then ABUSE and NEGLECT that child that is proof that they do not love each other. It is impossible for 2 people to have a child together and treat that child terribly AND love each other.
Why do the stories always have extended family suddenly having something to say about "being family", but never say anything to the abusers etc…
All in all the parents are the most at fault, the brother was not loved but used, he’s no golden child he was an investment
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I was disappointed OP didn’t get rescued and/or marry her Prince Charming.
Too repetitive
It's illegal to leave a 14 year old alone.
This story is fake. The details are oddly specific and the fact that noone else found out about the abandonment until OP was well after 18 is enough
Most of these stories have the parents kicking the children out at 16 but abandoning a child at 14 they should be in prison
😂😂😂😂😂 karma!😂😂😂😂
you should have told them that somebody had to draw all of those illustrations in Gray's Anatomy.
Family obligations?
Y'all had obligations to a fourteen year old girl!
a photographer? so he found his own way to be creative!
blah blah blah, ranting all the way how life was unfair for this incompetent fool that got lucky when one of her stupid ilustrated novels sold well.
PATHETIC LIES, THE PARENTS WITH HIGH ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS STOCKING SHELVES IN A PHARMACY MY ASS
CPS alert
OMG, of all the BS that never happened, that never happened the most
Where were the extended "family " when OP was abandoned. Lawyer up OP.
Terrible synth voice. Cannot listen
great video, really captivates the viewer’s attention. but honestly, it makes me think: is it fair to put all the blame on the parents? i mean, there could be more to the story that we don’t see. just my two cents!
