I think I would rather argue with Turkeys than Verizon's AI… they text me and when I respond it asks me what I need help with. I hate AI. Sorry… venting.

for some reason, i recall there being two guardian dogs. Didn't you get a puppy while in SC? Time is a blur, so I could be wrong, but I just wanted to check. I love the Gabriel check in 🙂
I love Turkeys. I raised 2 Red Burbons from hatchlings and they were pets and they would sit on my lap and preen my hair. We would gobble to each other. They were great pets. They protected the chickens too. I miss them. But my neighbor doesn’t believe that leash laws don’t apply to his German Shepherd who can climb a six foot chain link fence. It broke my heart when his dog ripped my turkey’s to shreds. I won’t get any more poultry until I can electrify my chain-link fence. It cost me $180. Vet bill to euthanize them. And he excepted no responsibility whatsoever and animal control was completely worthless. If I didn’t have a video of his dog attacking those turkeys, even though there were witnesses, they refused to even give him a verbal warning. So I am saving my money to make my fence HOT!!! Then I will get more poultry pets.
I need to inoculate some mushroom logs.

Was driving through Arkansas yesterday and my dog had to get out of the truck for a minute. Found myself on a stretch of road in cotton fields in Beulah and chuckled a bit because I instantly thought of you folks. ❤😊

The barn footage is like a balm to my soul. One of these days, I have faith I'll have a family and a farm all my own!
I had my gates closed, so I did not expect anyone to knock loudly on my door. Scared me to the core. I did not answer the door. When I finally found out what happened I asked the guy who had walked down the hill to my house around my gates why he did not leave a note? He said, I couldn't, your turkey was attacking me. Good boy, I thought in my mind after a 24 panic streak in trying to figure out who ignored the no trespassing sign. Ah, the beauty of guard animals! So much for all 4 dogs, humpf.
Ben is still adorable but he’s no longer looking like a little boy. They grow up too fast!
That's the most precious child. Ben wants to be a part of it all which will help him his entire life. He's a self professed professional with a knife he says ❤. It's so great your kids will be able to learn real life skills with home schooling to come and will be better for your animals as well. Great decisions have been made indeed.
