  1. I’ve used the Heirloom paint for a few years. After the 30 days hard cure it’s golden. But I have to baby it for about 3 days after I paint things. If I’m painting a furniture top I have learned to wait at least 10 days to get a hard enough cure to put glasses and stuff on and off it a lot. But I really like it. I painted a front door that’s metal and gets the blistering hot sun and it’s held up well. I don’t like the round brush and mostly use my own brushes and stipple with the sponge or use the roller in flat parts. It does go a long way. I had read not to shake it as it puts a lot of bubbles in it but they have evolved with the paint over the last 4 years. I painted my bathroom cabinets manor house and get lots of compliments on them. I’ve painted a lot of furniture pieces that look great, just have to leave the top clear for a while as I’ve found it doesn’t hold up to immediate daily use until it cures more. Great paint.

  2. This video made me so happy. My hubby and I LOVE doing projects around the house together. We are currently building a space in our basement for our daughter that just moved back home. I didn't realize how much I missed these types of videos from you, until I watched this one. I LOVE all of your colors! Thank you for inviting us to hang out with you while you work!ā¤

  3. I love the marriage that you guys have. You seem so happy and glowing about life right now. Once you decided to make this house your home, it’s like a burden has been lifted. I love everything that you both are doing. Ps. The crocheting is so awesome.

  4. You two are so cute! Glad you got to spend that precious time with your second eldest son alone. Nice paint colors in the bathroom. I think your home will be personal and beautiful.

  5. I absolutely love watching the two of you together! Also I really like the way kitchen is looking.

  6. I love that you are willing to share the playfulness and giggles between you two. It makes my heart happy ā¤ā¤

  7. I’ll gladly take this! It’s fun just hanging out with you guys. It made my heart sing when you said you were going to paint the laundry room door. Whew, boy, that was a relief, lol.

  8. Refreshing your space with color and hardware is such a visual and emotional boost! I love the color drenching of your bathroom, it's so rich and soothing. Definitely like this video style, I always appreciate just hanging out and chatting!

  9. Love love love those colors. The kitchen, the bath, the laundry, and the star blankets. Jess has a really good eye.

  10. I appreciate the double blessings. I'm loving all the new paint. I've painted most of the rooms in my house. I've never painted my bedroom, the closets or our laundry room. I'm very tempted to paint the laundry room now. The bad part is that there's no door and the room can be seen from the kitchen/dining room. I don't know if I should paint it the same yellow that I have in the kitchen or if it would look ok to paint it a completely different color.

  11. Hi from Downunder. I do like videos that have mixed content and this one is good wherein u guys show what u r doing re painting cabinets, the type of paint used and I also like the hardware. s am an avid painter, and have painted multiple homes incl. cabinets, furniture, I think your rangehood should be painted in the brass type hardware so it matches and all blends in, rather than paint it a totally different color.

  12. Thanks for inviting us in for a visit! Now I want to dig out my yarn! I have a Popeye cookie jar that presides over my kitchen. He gets some unexpected comments. I actually loved your color drench in the bathroom, which I didn't expect with the wall color. I kept rewinding to look at it again, and I liked it better every time.

  13. Foe the color drenching I go 25% lighter on the ceiling. It looks exact when it is done. Another fun is painting the same color but 18" stripes of a satun over a matte wall. "Mathing" the lines out is a bit much but worth it!
Lookingnforward to the crochet blanket check ins.

  14. love your bathroom and the reality of a normal messy home while you redecorate, it makes a refreshing change from all the perfect lives that get shared so often on social media.. Oh and I recently saw the crochet post and suddenly it was all over my tictok… now I'm going to have to go out and get some yarn… just a warning we are mid 50's and the midlife man joke era is still here, we don't even have kids so there's not that excuse 🤣
