  1. It may not be your style, but my Grandmother's (may she rest in glorious peace) mudroom was mostly navy blue and she painted her cabinets her favorite color, melted butter yellow. That room was stunning and would've easily cleared the "lived-in, but awesome" hurdle that most designs struggle with achieving.

  2. Miah is incredible. He’s funny and a great person. But honestly you make R&R my favorite channel

  3. We are GOOD with you popping up when it works. Let's us all remember to breathe. You are always entertaining, thoughtful, informative…

  4. I love the shawl! The pattern and the colors are so beautiful! Yes, that is perfect for you!
What is the name of the pattern and is it in the yarn store link?

  5. I love the emerald green with the wood top. I once painted a room dollar green per my son’s request. I think the paint person did not understand his bold choice which looks fantastic with wood furniture . It really popped and it was so soothing. Jess paint in colors that make you happy and content. I love the shawl you are crocheting!! I also find crocheting very relaxing…

  6. Hey Jess, nice green Island ! Considering the new color, I would match the hood with the island's countertop color. The teracotta test spot is not quite the right tone, but close. I think that it would contrast with the cabinets without introducing a new color in the kitchen. I hope this helps ! Love you ❤ (in my heart your my dear friend even though we never met)

  7. I absolutely love the concept of hygge, even though it's been blown up into something of a commercial concept over the years. If you, or anyone reading this, struggle with the fact that it's gotten a bit "over talked about", try looking up "kos/koselig" or "lagom". They're both similar concepts, from Denmark's neighbors, Norway and Sweden. 😉 Regardless, I'm glad that you're embracing the slowdown. We often need it more than we think we do, and our bodies will tell us with a full stop. As a fellow ADHD-er, I relate to, like, so many of those struggles — creating habits/structures, burnout, needing time to recharge… Take care! And thank you for sharing! ❤🙏🏻

  8. Beth here ….green is my favorite color! My kitchen is green and my laundry room and green dusted throughout every room somewhere. The island looks wonderful!!!

  9. I have lived in Colorado for almost 19 years and have been thinking it may be time to move south. I need a warmer climate and a longer growing season. I always know winter is coming because I start cooking. I stock my freezer with single serving meals. Soups and stews and winter favorites. Then after a busy day I can pull something out and warm it up. I just had homemade Spaghetti. If I don't have things like that, I eat sweets and nibbles because its easy, so I try to always keep the freezer full.

  10. I LOVE that island!! Looks so great! You just said it. Look at nature!!! It's green, but all different shades. Well done Jess!

  11. I think green was a great choice! And I love to curl up with a book and a nice blanket during the cold months. Hot teas all day, and snuggly socks❤️

  12. 🥰 Oh Jess, I love your shawl , my Grandmother was a big crocheter, she made an aghan in those similar colors and I thought it was the most beautiful one she made

  13. Thank you for just hanging out with us! Love your mug!!!!!! So cool. Where can we get one?

  14. First, I love the green on the cabinets. Secondly, as a introvert I totally get the hobbit hole. I crawled out to comment on your video. lol I still haven't figured out how to slow down though.

  15. This time of of the year I just want to bake something and watch Christmas movies. Cozyied-up on the couch with my hot tea/cocoa, etc and my baked goodies. Letting the peaceful attitude of Christmas seep in and calm me into much needed rest and renewal. 🌿💚👵 oh! Forgot! And always crochet hook in hand! LOL!😂

  16. The colors in your shawl are right in your kitchen now. The greens and the pinks in your egg cartons and butter dish. 🌸🌲🌸

  17. You could use a lighter blue on the walls if you are going to paint the cabinets dark blue or paint the walls blue and paint the cabinets match the trim color.

  18. The moments that fill my cup,are definitely also when I crochet (that's my go to because I can fit in a little crochet even when we are busy), when I paint, sing with the kids, when we do work around the homestead as the whole family and when I allow myself to take the time to cook/bake something special.

  19. Thank you for your honesty. ADD and ADHD are interesting to deal with. I also have dyslexia and fibromyalgia to top it. I know the need to back off then reconnect. I really enjoy your content at all levels.

  20. Watching this video I realized I love that terracotta color on the exhaust hood over the stove..it's perfect with the colors you already are using.. the greens and cream colors..

  21. Love your mug Jess! ; ) I feel that deep peach would be a nice compliment to your green. I didn't tell you, but I work in a yarn store and we have 8 different Noro yarns They are expensive, but most are also twice the yardage 500-700 yards) of most quality yarns. That brings the price per yard in line with other yarns. They have some nice cotton-silk-linen blends in amazing colors. Let me know if you want more Noro for Christmas! Here in Maine we cherish the calm of winter, and nothing beats a snowstorm day when the woodstove is going and you can snuggle up and knit or crochet. Daily blessings at their best!
