Unlock the power of organic soil biology! Great soil health tips from Dan! His knowledge of soil biology, nutrients and amendments will help you understand how to have the best organic garden soil preparation possible! Make the your soil the best it can be by focusing on feeding the soil microbial biology, instead of feeding your plants. The reason this works best is because the soil microbes themselves are what actually feeds your plant’s root system through mycorrhizal symbiosis!

Remember, Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” John 14:6

  1. Noone ever talks about how to prune more confusing growth patterns such as when the main stem splits into 2 or more branches and its not obvious which one is a sucker and which is the main stem. Also when you get too busy and suddenly you notice a huge sucker with buds on it. Should you still prune it at that point?

  2. I would love to see a video on how you guys store all the produce you harvest/preserve. I feel like I would need my own warehouse for the amount of produce you grow 😂

  3. The grasshopper plague took all 100 of my tomato plants, but next year…I shall prevail! Thank you so much for all the teachings you give, it's all much appreciated. I wish I had the trellis system you have, it's beautiful.

  4. Do not be a sucker keep your suckers and let them grow on the ground:] other then those princess strains let someone else grow those hehe

  5. Hello! I enjoy and your information provided… Question : I have created the ground for my plants with your fertilizer mix… will I need to fertilize again regularly? Thank you 🙂

  6. Not me literary mid pruning my determinate store bought tomato plant as soon as your video comes on…😅😅😅😅. Welp now i know for next time lol being new to growing anything there is a lot to learn 😅

  7. So is the second leader just a sucker that you let grow? Looks like maybe that's a good idea after the plant is about a foot tall or so?

  8. My tomato plants are showing leaf curl . The leafs are in good condition otherwise. The leaves are even curled in the morning after a rain. (Less but still apparent) . I have drip irrigation so im somewhat confident its not related to water. I made new raised beds for them this year and im thinking i may have made a mistake. The beds are only 2' wide and are 16" tall, I used barn metal for the sides. Im thinking my soil may be too hot. (82° at 12" deep). Could that be my issue.

  9. Frankly I don't prune suckers unless I want to control the size of the plant. I have a question: is good or bad to prune ALL the suckers when trying for a monster fruit? I pruned a lot on my Westerlund to get the 2lb fruit but I don't think I got em all. 🤔

  10. I have another question: suppose you are growing a variety that can get 1lb +, or even 2lb + but you get a fruit that weighs say 10-12 oz. Is it not a good idea to save seed from a runted fruit? Can 'runt' genes carry, even if its weather stress that causes the runts?

  11. This is my third year of gardening and im still learning, i live in Belgium, we had horrible spring with 2 months of constant rain and very low temperatures, add on top of it slug invasion, i felt i was going to lose my crops. But watching channels like yours i managed to save everything .Your garden is amazing, i love your channel and i'm obsessed with your tomato trellis, i will try and make one just like yours next year. Thank you for all the tips and advice you've given us,wish you all the best! Greeting from the cold and humid Belgium.

  12. Outstanding videos, gentlemen!
Luke, I'm curious how many varieties your dad grows?
What are his favorites to grow for production in your area?

  13. QUESTION: I'm a brand new gardener. Can I put dead squash & cucumber leaves that have leaf miner trails on them in my compost pile. I know some things that have disease shouldn't be put in the pile but I wasn't sure about these… Thanks!!

  14. So for the double leader. If I understand correctly you allow one sucker to grow as well as the main stem?

  15. First year planting lots of tomatoes. I thought I was keeping up cutting the suckers. They are everywhere and now I have a wild tomato patch.

  16. Thanks for all this helpful info! Gonna go prune some suckers on my wife’s plants right now! Very curious what camera you’re using, the image quality is beautiful. Thanks!
