Is there such a thing as too much pink???
Im in the US and the only language I speak is english, but the very first knitting project I did was from a youtube video pattern that was not english at all but had english subtitles. It was a very cute outfit for a baby and had a hood with little ears on it, and also had cable stitches on both sides of the front. May I just say again, it was my VERY FIRST knitting project I ever did, and it turned out great, so i can personally confirm that its not as hard as it seems ❤️
It can be helpful to have an instructional video with your pattern. If your desired sweater doesnt have that, you can typically find many videos explaining the cable technique. Just type in the code(M1L for example).
Good luck choosing!
I recommend the Portulaca cardigan by Carol Feller, it features in a Craftsy class where she teaches you step by step. It also helps with sizing so you make every stitch worth it and know your garment will fit like a glove!
So much plastic in your grocery 😟
Billie Pullover by Sari Nordland! Beautiful sweater and my next cast on x
For sewing new grass look into ‘chitting’. Basically, sewing lots of seed into a pile of compost and when it is well sprouted toss it out onto the bare patch. Then it is already grass before it is in its final location. Gives it a good head start in the peripheral seasons.
From a newbie knitter I decided on cableknit socks. Cable knitting is just a few extra stitches.
ooh that Drops wool sale is still going on here in my area and i am SO ordering that karisma yarn. Still undecided which one of the countless free drops sweaters i'm gonna do, cause i'm also very much drawn to those norwegian colorwork ones. Also, i don't really want to spend more than 100 bucks, and my fav yarn shop also has a sale on Viking Nordlys (norwegian brand, the most bautiful sock yarn with color gradient). It's so hard to choose, even though i know exactly that the next sale will most likely come before i've used up the yarn imma buy this time – _-
9:00 I got super excited to hear you talk about eliminating polyester/nylon and transitioning to natural fibers. I'm currently sewing my entire wardrobe/undergarments using undyed linen, cotton and wool fibers. I also purchased 20 skeins of undyed wool yarn with a plan to make a sweater dress (fingers crossed). I really like the 658 Robe avec Col amovible sweater dress but it is discontinued and I cannot find the English version of the pattern😩.
Ohhh those dimpled tiny hands ❤❤❤❤
I’m currently knitting the Rivendell sweater. You can find the pattern on Ravelry. It has just a bit of cables and I think it’s a great pattern and works up nicely. Highly recommend. I’m making mine is a nice forest green. It’s fitting for any LotR fan and I’m listening to the audiobooks while I knit it!
I love your beautiful garden! The Moby Sweater by PetiteKnit is a super popular cable sweater ☺Sari Nordlund also has some gorgeous cable designs, but perhaps not as easy to knit
I recently made the arctic lights sweater with drops karisma held together with drops kid silk. It turned out so gorgeous and was way easier then I expected! The pattern was clear and there are also a few videos explaining all the different types of cables if needed
Beautiful 🥰🥰🥰
To practice cables you could always start with a baby sweater. I enjoyed the stacked staghorn baby sweater by Stacey Cilia. It is a free pattern on ravelry
Your beautiful hair !!! Wow 🤩
Your hair looks so beautiful! And you look very happy.
I really enjoy the content you have been posting! So cozy, warm, and cheerful.
I love your video
How about a new bookshelf tour, if there were additions in the past and some recommendations maybe?
I second @Karinatimeaknits recommendation of Kutovakika. The Arctic Light Sweater has to be my favorite of her designs and it has a video series for the tutorial. I highly recommend it as a first cable knit!
I like you and your beautiful life
به این نتیجه رسیدم مه همجا آدم خوب و بد داره، تو آدم خوب هلندی،منم آدم خوب ایران 🌞
Lucy, your hair looks amazing! Love all of your knitting content!
I've found it really helpful to double at least one meal a week to freeze and save for a week I really need a fast answer.
Omg his chubby little hands!!! ❤❤❤
I am doing the folklore cardigan at the moment and using the spreadsheets shared by Nora Knits. I am finding it dreadfully dull though. 😂. I am an experienced knitting and this pattern is just too basic to keep me interested. Even though it looks complicated it’s been written to be the most basic construction ever. It’s 3 rows of essentially ribbing, knitting the knits and purling the purls and then one row or purl the purls and cable the knits. And repeat for ever 😂. I really love the final look but I defiantly need something more challenging to keep me engaged.
I love that you've been enjoying knitting so much! And excited to see your upcoming cabled projects!!
When I'm picking a pattern on Ravelry and I'm not familiar with the designer (you'll probably have a handful of go-to designers at some point) I rely on the comments and the projects tabs – it's super helpful to read the experiences of others! (Wish I could recommend a cable sweater pattern but I somehow haven't made one yet!)
Also: your hair is looking so good! 💖
Slugs in the garden tend to eat bulbs. Be aware! I have lost so many tulips, and other bulbs. I could not keep ahead of those things in my garden. So I don't mess with them anymore, sadly! I'm leary of slug bait as I have a cat I care for very much and won't risk it. Good luck!
Kutovakika has some BEAUTIFUL cable knit options! I haven’t knitted any of cable patterns yet, but they’re on my list. I’ve knitted a number of her other sweaters (I have her first book, Knit This) and she writes her patterns well
Your hair looks amazing ❤ I'm loving seeing you embracing motherhood. No other job compares. It's better than winning the lottery.
